โFalloutโ marks an enjoyable track by Lyrical Lemonade featuring surprising collaboration between Gus Dapperton, Lil Yachty, and Joey Bada$$.
Are you ready? Ready for what? Why, All Is Yellow, the 2024 album by Lyrica Lemonade! Two weeks prior to its scheduled release, Gus Dapperton, Lil Yachty, and Joey Bada$$ join forces on the single, โFalloutโ, which appears as the 10th track on the album.ย This is an unlikely cast of characters, but, โFalloutโ ends up being an intriguing listen.ย Dapperton produces alongside Jacob Lincoln, Cole Bennett, Kosher World, and Daniyel.
โFalloutโ commences with warm production, which proves to be perfect fuel for the fire of Gus Dapperton. Dapperton sings the first verse, which depicts the up and downs of the relationship (โDeath from the moment we met /โฆ After we make our amends / Letโs fall back in love in the fallout shelterโ).ย Dapperton also gets the honors of singing the best part of the song, the chorus, which is tuneful, and features an f-bomb (โGo ahead and play with my money, my money / Baby, itโs so fuckinโ funny to me, I get offโฆโ). Throw in a shout it out post-chorus, and Gus puts in work prior to the second verse performed by Lil Yachty.ย Yachty keeps things melodic, both complementing and contrasting Gus. โNever thought Iโd see your face again / I believe in miracles,โ he melodically raps, adding, โRepent now for our sins / Call out for your soul.โ The third verse by Joey Bada$$, which feels more like a bridge, is the most surprisingly, maintaining the melody. His final contributions, an outro, are more characteristic of the rapper. ย All in all, โFalloutโ marks a surprising, enjoyable collaboration between Lyrical Lemonade, Gus Dapperton, Lil Yachty, and Joey Bada$$.ย Itโs worth checking out!
