Lil Pump, Racks on Racks [Photo Credit: Warner Bros.]Despite being prolific in regards to releasing music, Lil Pump continues to deliver mediocre quality on his latest single, “Racks on Racks.”

Lil Pump continues to release new music.  Yeah, that enough to make a number of folks cry foul… just saying. How prolific the teen rapper is isn’t a rub in the least.   No, the rub has been the quality of his output, with questionable singles such as “Esskeetit” and the shameful “Drug Addicts”.   Replicating the success of the stupid if utterly infectious “Gucci Gang” has been tough.  Regardless, Pump is making plenty of bread, even if his material is sketchy AF.  Back with more mediocrity – oops, did I really say that? – Pump drops the brief “Racks on Racks.” Can you possibly guess what this single encompasses?

Lil Pump has intense production to fuel his fire on “Racks on Racks.” This includes rhythmic ‘string-like’ synths, and a hard, anchoring beat.  The inspiration is certainly there, even if Pump doesn’t offer much any profundity when it comes to his rhymes.  Regardless, he has a respectable flow, which makes “Racks on Racks” at least moderately interesting if nothing else.  Still, there’s just not any substance here.  Money is cliché AF in rap and hip-hop, so, making it memorable or brand-new would require some truly elite skills.  Lil Pump doesn’t possess such.

Final Thoughts

Really, there’s not much else to say regarding Lil Pump and “Racks on Racks.”  The script remains basic for the teen rapper, and while that seems to appease his fans, it doesn’t infuse any innovative spirit into the rap game, or popular music overall.  Perhaps “Racks on Racks” will tickle someone’s fancy at least once, but beyond that, this is another utterly forgettable, undercooked offering from the rising teen rapper.
