23-year old up-and-coming artist Lauv continues makes a name for himself on single, “Paris in the Rain.”
Look out, look out – there’s a new pop/R&B/indie artist on the horizon! That would-be Ari Staprans Leff, better known as Lauv. The 23-year old Cali artist shouldn’t be slept on – he has plenty of potential. The proof is in the pudding, rather enjoyable single, “Paris in the Rain.” Furthermore, he knows his music, as an NYU music tech grad.
“Paris in the Rain” commences smoothly – it’s chill, refined, and romantic. Early on, the single gives off warm and fuzzy vibes. While “Paris in the Rain” can be best described as a pop song, it features some jazzy, soulful cues that make it sound incredibly distinct. Once he begins singing he matches the cool, smooth instrumental vibe. He delivers a sexy, suave performance, jam-packed with ripe falsetto.
Finding something offensive about “Paris in the Rain” is tough. All in all, he delivers another top-notch single. His vocals continue to shine, the production work is classic, distinct, and slick, and everything ‘feels right.’ More folks should be talking about him – he’s ‘got next.’
