KYLE, SUPERDUPERKYLE [Photo Credit: Atlantic]While KYLE remains one of the most infectious, lovable rappers, “SUPERDUPERKYLE,” featuring MadeinTYO, fall short of the glory of his best singles.

KYLE really seems like a pretty cool guy.  His album, Light of Mine, was definitely enjoyable, even if it wasn’t game changing.  Songs like “To the Moon”,“Playinwitme”, and “iSpy” truly tickled my fancy.  Well, the guy with the coolest Twitter handle ever has made a song named after the said handle – “SUPERDUPERKYLE” featuring fellow rapper MadeinTYO.  The results are respectable – okay – but definitely not earth shattering.

“SUPERDUPERKYLE” clocks in at under three-minutes – definite brief.  Interestingly, it’s set in a minor key, not nearly as ‘bright’ or as ‘happy’ as other KYLE joints.  It seems that he’s going for a tougher, more hard-nosed sound.  Nah, he doesn’t sound like a gangsta, but, it definitely isn’t as sunny as “iSpy.” He delivers an intro, before dropping an infectious chorus:

“SuperDuperKyle, I been famous for a while, yeah / Know she know my name, if she don’t she in denial / And I keep a chain with a big-ass smile, yeah / ‘Cause my n***as paid, and I know my mama proud, yeah.”

KYLE follows up with the first verse, rapping about being high, being hit on by ‘flirty hoes,’ yet keeping his main chick… Essentially, he flexes. Following the second chorus, MadeinTYO drops the second verse, flexing on money, material, and his swagger essentially. Honestly, that’s about the size of it.

Final Thoughts

Ultimately, “SUPERDUPERKYLE” is okay, but neither KYLE or MadeinTYO bring anything new or revolutionary to the table.  What I’m trying to say is, “SUPERDUPERKYLE” isn’t quite as ‘super-duper’ as he’s been on other songs. It happens.
