Life, with its hardships,  trials, and tribulations.  Ultimately, thanks to God, those who believe in Him are conquerors – overcoming tough obstacles and situations through his grace and his mercy.

“Tomorrow is a brand new day / All my sins have been washed away,” 🎙 Dalon Collins sings (as lead vocalist) in the first verse. He continues to laud The Most High, singing, “My hands are new, my life is free / My heart is pure, I’ve been redeemed.” That is inspiring – uplifting by all means.  The anointed choir joins in during the pre-chorus, which best speaks to why we are conquerors.

“We ran the race, we kept the fight

We shed our blood for what was right

We carried our cross through storm and rain

Because of Christ now we can say…”

Beyond superb lyrics, one of the best moments of this near eight and a half minute ballad comes toward the end.  Throwing a little music theory into the mix, there’s a dash of minor thrown in, signaled by Collin’s “na-na-na…” It adds to the allure and sheer power of this nearly 30-year-old gem.
