Kenton Place, Done With You | Track Review 🎵

ockers, Kenton Place, are towering over the rock scene, and they are giving the most famed rock bands on the planet a run for their cash with their new release, ‘Done With You‘.

The song represents the band’s current power, and they are likely to release their new EP this year; thus, this one gives us an idea of what to expect in 2022. They aren’t reinventing the wheel here, but they add to a long-established heavy rock sound and blend in their distinct personalities to create an instantly compelling soundtrack.

The production has a lot of dynamism, and the mix is spacious. When listening on a 5:1 speaker system, it provides a superb listening experience. Also, if you change the sound to mono, it still sounds powerful, indicating that the mix is well-made. Furthermore, the energy levels remain constant, and the energetic group becomes even more triumphant as the track progresses; all members rise to the occasion with vigour!

The vocals on this track are not from the bands full-time singer Logan Smalley; instead, they are by his sister, Laurel Smalley. It is evident why they opted for Laurel for this piece, as it is shouting for a female rock vocal like this one. It is questionable whether Logan could have managed to get to the same highs that the female vocal register has available.
