Rising English teen pop singer HRVY and rising Cuban-American teen singer Malu Travejo deliver a fun Latin-pop hit with the ‘short, but sweet’ “Hasta Luego.”

“Don’t take it personal!” 19-year old English pop singer HRVY experienced a big hit stateside with “Personal”, a song off his Talk to Ya EP.  Early indications suggest that this teen is poised to be a star. There’s even more flashes of superstardom on new single, “Hasta Luego,” alongside  Cuban-American teen singer, Malu Trevejo.

Latin pop is experiencing a massive resurgence, and HRVY and Malu Trevejo jump right on that. Expectedly, “Hasta Luego” is sleekly produced, with the Latin vibes front and center.  The key piece of the production is the beat, which is sick, particular once the chorus rolls around.  HRVY serves up clear, smooth vocals, perfectly suited for pop as well as the sensual nature of this Latin-tinged record. Trevejo holds her own as well, matching the British heartthrob with her own exuberant pipes, not to mention handling the majority of the Spanish lyrics (verse two). Beyond the great verses, it’s the incredibly catchy chorus that’s the centerpiece.

Beyond the chorus, another great moment is the bridge.  Here, HRVY and Trevejo trade bars (“I’m like / Oh-oh / Ay, ay, ay”).

Final Thoughts

All in all, HRVY and Malu Trevejo compel on “Hasta Luego.” Great production, great vocals, and maybe most of all, a killer vibe. Vibe is everything, you know, or so I’ve heard.
