“What sets us apart is our love for mixing different music styles.” Cool beans, 🎙 Thousand Frames! In response to our first burning question, the band adds, “When it comes to our live performances, they’re all about high energy.” Within this entertaining interview from the Denver cinematic metalcore band, get the inside scoop on the genesis, goals, musical influences, and current and future musical endeavors. So, without further ado, let’s jump right into 🎤 Getting to Know…Thousand Frames: Interview No. 389!

For those who may not be familiar with you, what would you say makes Thousand Frames distinct or unique? How do you rock the audience’s socks off?

What sets us apart is our love for mixing different music styles. When you check out our collection, you’ll find a little something for everyone. When it comes to our live performances, they’re all about high energy. We’re in the process of bringing them back, and we’ve got an awesome light show that amps up the vibe on stage.

Thousand FramesOkay, let’s explore some juicy backstories. How did Thousand Frames form and what were some of the goals or visions you had early on?

So, the band kicked off in 2012 when Kyle returned to Colorado after spending several years in Minnesota with his family. Kyle and I go way back to when we were both in middle school together. Our first gig together was our band called Fade to Grey – oh man, we thought we were the coolest!

Now, with Thousand Frames, when we started out, we didn’t really have a roadmap of where we wanted to go. We just gelled with the music we liked and wanted to make that kind of music. It’s crazy how blessed we feel that it’s turned into what it is today.

Let’s talk more about goals.  Have your goals or your perspectives changed since first starting out? What do your aspirations or goals look like now?

As I mentioned, we had no idea where we wanted to go when we first started the band. It was just something to do. I think around year three of the band, the goals started to get hammered out more if only to avoid burnout. We wanted to be the go-to band for local openers and we feel like we have accomplished that. In this new chapter of Thousand Frames, our goal is to play bigger shows, play big festivals, and build a business empire out of Thousand Frames with other branches of business. Our goals are lofty, but we feel confident that we can make it happen.

Everybody is influenced by somebody else. Whom would you consider some of your biggest musical influences and how are they influential?

The first influence that we had as a band was RED. We loved the drama they added to their music by adding strings and electronics to their music. Other bands that we are influenced by are Bad Omens, Chevelle, Bring Me The Horizon, Siamese, and Sleep Token,

Ah, the fun stuff.  What’s your craziest tour story or the wackiest thing that’s happened during a performance?  Feel free to be creative.

Well, there was that one time that our first drummer forgot his kick pedal to a gig. He tried playing without it, but it sounded awkward. Thankfully, the band before us let us borrow their drummer’s kick pedal but wow was that wild!

Up until this point in your career, what would you describe as your favorite song you’ve recorded or performed live? What makes that song special?

We all dig “Masquerade” the most. It’s like the ultimate hype-up jam, and we’ve been kicking off our sets with it for the past few years. Now, with these fresh tunes in the mix, we’re betting “Love’s Run Out of Time” is gonna be the ideal opener for our sets.

Thousand FramesIs there anything else awesome, cool, or left of center the world should know about you? Secret talents or surprising tidbits?

A long time ago, our front man, Kyle, used to be a drummer! He used to drum in a band called Crashing Daylight and then wound up in a band called Forever Waiting before he moved to Colorado.

Closing out, what is Thousand Frames currently working on, promoting that you can share with us or want us to know about? We love secrets, but there’s no pressure.

We are promoting our new single “Love’s Run Out of Time”. This song means a lot to us as it’s truly a song for the current times. Please listen to the song and watch and share the music video.

Thank you so much for sharing and taking the time to answer these questions, and best of luck moving forward.
