“We are making heavy music that spans genres – modern metal/metalcore with electronic and industrial influences.” Right on, 🎙 Seeker Pearl! In response to our first burning question, the Chicago band, comprised of 🎙 Dino Panzani (drums), 🎙 Remek Jakmow (guitar), and 🎙 Lindsay Miller (vocalist and multi-instrumentalist), cites examples of the types of fans who may enjoy their brand of music.  Rock on 🤘!  Like our 298 previous Getting to Know Q&As, we get the inside scoop on the band’s genesis, goals, musical influences, and of course, current, and future musical endeavors. So, without further ado, let’s jump right into 🎤 Getting to Know… Seeker Pearl: Interview No. 299!

For those who may not be familiar with Seeker Pearl, what would you say makes you distinct or unique? How do you rock the audience’s socks off?

🎤 We are making heavy music that spans genres – modern metal/metalcore with electronic and industrial influences. For fans of Architects, Bring Me The Horizon, Spiritbox, Nine Inch Nails, Deftones, Tool, Massive Attack, Portishead, etc.

Seeker PearlOkay, let’s explore some juicy backstories. How did Seeker Pearl form and what were some of the goals or visions you had early on?

🎤 We have each played in too many bands to name, the last band we played in was where the three of us met. We were in a metalcore band together, but when COVID hit, that project kind of fell apart. The three of us wanted to continue to work on music together so, slowly over the pandemic shutdown, we started writing songs and formed this new band.

Let’s talk more about goals.  Have your goals or your perspectives changed since first starting out? What do your aspirations or goals look like now?

🎤 I think our goals have always been to just make the best music we are capable of and try to allow ourselves to fail forward and fail fast. We each got pretty sick of not putting out stuff and working on things to death in previous projects. So, our goals now are to finish what we start and make those things the best they can be – but keep moving forward and iterating.

Seeker PearlEverybody is influenced by somebody else. Whom would you consider some of your biggest musical influences and how are they influential?

🎤 Our musical influences span many genres and eras. Each member has their own kind of niche area but were influenced by Rage Against the Machine, Nirvana, Pink Floyd, Portishead, Tool, Deftones, Massive Attack, Periphery, Children of Bodem, Ozzy, Metallica, Slayer, Ozzy, Pantera, Nine Inch Nails, Dillinger Escape Plan, Soundgarden, Bjork, Architects. Each of these bands/musicians had major impacts on each of us.

Ah, the fun stuff.  What’s your craziest tour story or the wackiest thing that’s happened during a performance?  Feel free to be creative.

🎤 I once caught another band that we were opening for messing with our rack after we did sound check – I guess we scared him or something, but the dude tried to delete the settings on the axe-fx. I thought it was hilarious.

Seeker PearlUp until this point in your career, what would you describe as your favorite song you’ve recorded or performed live? What makes that song special?

🎤 My favorite song is always the one we have worked on most recently – to think the way we are able to work now – where we can release things so rapidly, it really allows you to make the thing you are most feeling at the moment. So, for me right now, that’s our next single – 🎵 “Shadow Machine”.

Seeker PearlIs there anything else awesome, cool, or left of center the world should know about you? Secret talents or surprising tidbits?

🎤 Dino is legitimately terrifying, despite his laid-back look and chill demeanor. The man destroys the kit, he will destroy you if you get too close.

Closing out, what is Seeker Pearl currently working on, promoting that you can share with us or want us to know about? We love secrets, but there’s no pressure.

🎤  Right now we are starting to work on a video to support the next single that we just finished recording – check out our links to watch as we develop it.
