Are you ready to beam with P-R-I-D-E? Beaming with Pride highlights songs by LGBTQ musicians and allies, offering background, analysis, and discussion of the decadent bops served up. All genres are welcome, and both classics and new songs are recognized. So, without further ado, in the 49th edition of Beaming with Pride (2026), we highlight LEZ GO!performed by G Flip and The Beaches.

“Locked in a series of comedowns / Honestly, I wanna pull all my hair out.”
Oh, no! Don’t pull your hair out! Sooo… what happens when Australian singer-songwriter G Flip (Georgia Flipo, they/them) and Canadian alternative rock band The Beaches (Jordan Miller, Kylie Miller, Leandra Earl, and Eliza Enman-McDaniel) join forces? Two words: “LEZ GO!Woo! *cues up a let’s f***ing go gif*! The captivating single was written by G Flip, Beaches, Aidan Hogg, and Steph Marizano.  G Flip and Aidan Hogg produced it.

The sound is exuberant, set in a happy major key 😁! Beyond the instrumental, there are plenty of vocal moments that make “LEZ GO!” C-O-O-K.  One specific moment is the exaggerated “oh(s)” which ups the ante and the intensity. I love how G Flip and The Beaches split up the verses.  This keeps the song engaging given the differences in their respective voices. G Flip sings the first and fourth verses.  They set the tone with “You’re heading out to the East Coast / You say, ‘No need to follow’ /… But I know, I know you’re lyin’.” They said what they said! In the fourth verse, they assert, “I’ll be your echo.” I felt that! The Beaches perform the second and third verses, while holding it down primarily in the choruses. “And if I’m too much, baby, I’m sorry / (Ooh) You’re the only one who can hold me,” they sing in the second verse, adding in the third, “You take my hand whenever I stumble.” As for the chorus, it is the crème de la crème.  Anthemic, it’s tuneful, memorable, and all the things.

“Oh!

I promise that you’ll never have to do this alone

I’ll hold you, and I’ll whisper to you, ‘Let’s go’

When it’s all too much, and I know that you wanna go home

I’ll hold you, and I’ll whisper to you, ‘Let’s go’.”

Ooh-wee! All told, “LEZ GO!is a rocking, upbeat cut that is a must-have on the LGBTQ+ playlist. G Flip and The Beaches DID THAT 🤘!
