In the 78th edition of 5ive Songs (2022), we select five songs that are associated with For Under Consent of the King (aka, the f-bomb) in some form or fashion.
Welcome to 5ive Songs, where we keep things short and sweet â no extra calories or needless fluff! Thereâs a theme/topic, five songs, and a short blurb. Yes, itâs a playlist, but itâs a miniature playlist that shouldnât take much time to consume. In the 78th edition of 5ive Songs (2022), we select five songs that are associated with For Under Consent of the King (aka, the f-bomb) in some form or fashion.  Okay, letâs get into it!
1. Drake, âI Guess Itâs Fuck Meâ
đż Her Loss âą đ· OVO / Republic âą đ 2022
âYou left so abruptly / I guess itâs fuck meâŠâ đ Drake concludes his joint album with đ 21 Savage (đż Her Loss) with a bang â rather, a bomb! Thatâs right, Drizzy goes all for under consent of the king with the 16th track, đ” âI Guess Itâs Fuck Me.â It would not be the first time the đ Grammy-winning rapper used the f-bomb in a song title. Look back to his đż Certified Lover Boy when he mentioned đ” âFucking Fansâ, woo!
âTell me, what did I do wrong?
Before itâs over
I need you to come over once again
And before you give me closure
Need you to come a little bit closer.â
âI Guess Itâs Fuck Meâ is an intriguing closer. Drake is true to self, employing an emotional, mostly melodic tinged approached. Besides singing the chorus, he raps the sole verse. Even with its un-pitched moments, the verse feels melodic too. The production (đ The Loud Pack) is a huge selling point on this heartache-fueled gem, including warm keys and synths. Drake has no shortage of standout lines, including âShit could make a thug cry, play it like a tough guy.â
2. Demi Lovato, âHOLY FVCKâ
đż HOLY FVCK âą đ· Island âą đ 2022
âIâll bring you to life / Iâm a holy fuck, Iâm a holy fuck (Fuck).â Holy fizzuck, đ Demi Lovato! Obviously, when the name of the album is đżÂ HOLY FVCK, you must prepare your virgin ears to be deflowered by f-bombs.  Also, it is only fitting that there should be a title track. đ” âHOLY FVCKâ arrives as the fifth track on HOLY FVCK, and it sounds idiomatic of a hard rock record.  The lyrics are sinful, referencing spiritual things, though often in an evil, blasphemous context (ââCause my bodyâs the communion / Take a bite of what Iâm doingâ).  This is intentional and part of the brilliance of this title track.  And HOLY F#ÂąK, what about those jagged, robust guitars đ€!
3. Ryan Mack, âSad Fuckâ
đ” âSad Fuckâ âąÂ đ·Â Ryan Mack âąÂ đ  2021
âI’m a sad fuck / Self sabotage and I mess things up / Always in my feelings and my head too much, yeah/ But I donât always wanna be a sad fuck.â Wow â thatâs quite a self-characterization đ Ryan Mack (Ryan McLoughlin)! McLoughlin and đ GETH produce the short, fucking sad, đ” âSad Fuckâ.  Itâs worth noting that Urban Dictionary describes a sad fuck in various ways including a âA person who is universally considered to be both a complete prick and a pitiful loserâ and a âdepressed kid.â In the context of this sad song, Mack seems to fit the bill of depressed kid perfectly, though, heâs not a kidâŠ
Anyways, the Irish musician does a great job of capturing coping with depression. Â Essentially, he paints a picture of having âBad nights,â âdoing well, but I get overwhelmed,â and falling into the rabbit hole of sorts âas soon as I compare myself to everybody else.â In the first verse, he aspires for happiness though itâs not easily attained. Â The second verse is intriguing as well, as McLoughlin makes a stellar point about âthingsâ: âAinât it funny how they think Iâm fine? / Just âcause I got everything they see online.â Itâs true â fame and material things arenât equivalent to happiness.

4. Latto, âFTCUâ (Ft. GloRilla & Gangsta Boo)
đ” âFTCUâ âą đ· Streamcut / RCA âą đ 2022
âMan, Iâm the VIP, I done walked straight past you hoes / Bitch you ainât see me?â As you figure out early on the female-helmed rap banger đ” âFTCUâ, it is an acronym for fuck the club up. Grammy-nominated rapper đ Latto taps đ GloRilla and đ Gangsta Boo for the assist. Although the club fucking up lasts just under two-and-a-half-minutes, these ladies make quite the impression. It all begins with hard-hitting, minor-key production (đ d.a. got that dope). Gangsta Boo doesnât get her own verse, but she performs the intro and echoes Latto during the gives no fucks chorus.
âFuck the club up (Fuck the club up)
Fuck the club up (Fuck the club up)
I might stand up on your shit and fuck a dub up (Bitch)
Fuck the club up (Fuck the club up)
Fuck the club up (Fuck the club up)
I might go off in your shit, you tryna mug us (Bitch).â
Holy $hiâ ! Unapologetic rhymes by Latto kicks things off with a bang. Her flow kicks ass in both the chorus and the first verse (âHottest in my city, bitch, me and these diamonds hit / Betâ not run up Big Latto, give no fuck about no imageâ). GloRilla takes the second verse. Her interesting vocal timbre contrasts the higher-pitched Latto. Where there is no contrast is the unapologetic nature: âFour cars full of shooters just in case they try to follow me (Huh?) / Keep them pistols in the party, we don’t go by policies.â All told, Latto, GloRilla, and Gangsta Boo put in work on âFTCU.â It is safe to say, they have, indeed, fucked the club up!
5. Wheeler Walker Jr., âFucked by a Country Boyâ
đż Sex, Drugs & Country Music âą đ· Pepper Hill / Thirty Tigers âą đ 2022
âTrade that dick up in the penthouse / For some cock down in the hen house.â Oh, brother! First and foremost, itâs important to take đ Wheeler Walker Jr. with a grain of salt. The comedic country musician is known for being crude, outlandish, and totally over the top. On đ” âFucked by a Country Boyâ, from his 2022 album, đż Sex, Drugs & Country Music, heâs unapologetic AF. An incredible sexual record, a lyric like, âBut have you ever been smashed / To some old school Conway Twittyâ is tameâŠ
âHave you ever been fucked, fucked, fucked by a country boy?
Rammed, rammed, rammed by a redneck?
Spread, spread, spread by an inbred
Whoâs kinda got your daddyâs voice?â
Yeah⊠what can you really say to that chorus? The second half isnât much better than the fuÂąking, ramming, and spreading that Walker Jr. asks about. The thing is, itâs satirical â not meant to be taken seriously. Still, lyrics like âFly down the map and lemme show your flap / Some home-cooked southern-fried meat / Weâll fuck you like familyâ are, well, disturbing AF.
