Billboard 200 πŸ“‰

Encanto [πŸ“·: Disney]πŸ’ πŸ’Ώ Encanto spends a sixth week atop the Billboard 200. Surprising? Nope, not at all!

πŸ’ πŸŽ™ The Weeknd sees his most recent album, πŸ’Ώ Dawn FM, slip outside the top 10.Β  It falls from no. 6 to no. 11 in its sixth week on the charts.Β Β

πŸ’ Despite β€œkicking ass and taking names” during the Super Bowl Halftime Show, πŸŽ™ Mary J. Blige, The Queen of hip-hop soul, still musters up a modest debut for πŸ’Ώ Good Morning Gorgeous, her first new album in five years.Β  Good Morning Gorgeous earns the highest debut on this week’s Billboard 200, launching at no. 14.

πŸ’ The second-highest bowing album on this week’s edition of the Billboard 200 barely cracks the top 30.Β  πŸŽ™ Eddie Vedder launches at no. 29 with πŸ’Ώ Earthling.

πŸ’ Debuting just outside the top-30 is πŸŽ™ Big Thief.Β  πŸ’Ώ Dragon New Warm Mountain I Believe in You starts at no. 31.

πŸ’ Veteran alternative rock collective πŸŽ™ Spoon gets in on the top-40 debut action as πŸ’Ώ Lucifer on the Sofa launches at no. 38.

πŸ’ With the release of the deluxe edition of her Grammy-nominated album, πŸ’Ώ Heaux Tales, πŸŽ™ Jazmine Sullivan re-enters the Billboard 200 at no. 46.

πŸ’ Rapper πŸŽ™ $NOT debuts at no. 66 with πŸ’Ώ Ethereal.

πŸ’ Another key part of the Super Bowl halftime show, unfortunately, πŸŽ™ Snoop Dogg doesn’t reap the benefits on the Billboard 200. Β πŸ’Ώ BODR debuts tepidly at no. 104.Β  That’s not very β€˜Dogg’ like!

πŸ’ πŸŽ™ alt-J debuts modestly too.Β  πŸ’Ώ The Dream certainly has no dream launch at an unimpressive no. 110.Β  Dream deferred!

πŸ’ Unfortunately, hunky country artist πŸŽ™ Dustin Lynch didn’t have the sale odds in his favor.Β  He can rock a mean cowboy hat, but he sure left us hanging with his ugly no. 125 start with πŸ’Ώ Blue in the Sky.Β  So, a dashing guy gets an ugly debut? Makes no sense!

πŸ’ Talk about a free fall! πŸŽ™ Mitski impressed us with her no. 5 bow last week but πŸ’Ώ Laurel Hell slides to no. 126 in week two! Day-um!

Billboard Hot 100 πŸ“‰

Encanto [πŸ“·: Disney]πŸ’ 🎡 β€œWe Don’t Talk About Bruno” spends a fourth week at no. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.

πŸ’ πŸŽ™ Glass Animals reach a new peak on the Hot 100.Β  57 weeks in, 🎡 β€œHeat Waves” ascends from no. 4 to no. 2.

πŸ’ πŸŽ™ Glass Animals aren’t the only high risers on the Hot 100.Β  πŸŽ™ GAYLE is on the up-and-up with her β€˜polarizing’ 🎡 β€œabcdefu” which ascends from no. 7 to no. 4 13 weeks in.

πŸ’ πŸŽ™ Becky G and πŸŽ™ Karol G earn the highest debut on the Hot 100 with 🎡 β€œMAMIII” which launches at no. 15.

πŸ’ πŸŽ™ Nicki Minaj and πŸŽ™ Lil Baby earn another top 20 entry with 🎡 β€œBussin” which launches at no. 20.Β  Last week’s 🎡 β€œDo We Have a Problem?” debuted more robustly at no. 2.Β  That said, β€œDo We Have a Problem?” slides to no. 32 this week.

πŸ’ πŸŽ™ Ed Sheeran, assisted by πŸŽ™ Taylor Swift, just misses the top 20 with 🎡 β€œThe Joker and the Queen” (no. 21)

πŸ’ πŸŽ™ Future debuts at no. 34 with 🎡 β€œWorst Day”.Β  Hmm, maybe earning a respectable start on the Hot 100 will cheer up the rapper! Β

πŸ’ πŸŽ™ Fivio Foreign, πŸŽ™ Kanye West, and πŸŽ™ Alicia Keys earn a top-50 launch with 🎡 β€œCity of Gods.” Β

πŸ’ πŸŽ™ Dove Cameron debuts at no. 73 with 🎡 β€œBoyfriend.”

πŸ’ Some good news for πŸŽ™ Mary J. Blige as she sees 🎡 β€œGood Morning Gorgeous”, the title track from her 2022 album, debut at no. 83 on the Hot 100.

πŸ’ πŸŽ™ Saweetie with an assist from πŸŽ™ H.E.R., debuts at no. 89 with β€œCloser”.
