Ella Collier & GRANT KNOCHE, ALL ME | Song Review

Pop singer-songwriters Ella Collier & GRANT KNOCHE make a dynamic duo on the enjoyable, fun, and well-rounded single, “ALL ME.”

Oh, snap! What happens when Ella Collier and GRANT KNOCHE join forces? Magic… and also, “ALL ME”! “ALL ME” was written by Ella, GRANT, and producer Samuel Vendig.  The sounds are sweet within the production: rhythmic guitars, the anchoring beat, and colorful keys and synths.  This gives Ella, who draws first blood, an excellent supporting backdrop.  I love the huskiness of her voice early in the song (“I’ve been holding in a secret / I think you know by how you read me…”).  After wowing on the low end, she then ascends into her upper register, which is equally beautiful and impressive.  Collier dominates the first part of the single. The chorus is the crème de la crème:

“Tell me what you’d do if you had all me, all me, all me

‘Cause I know what  I would do if you had all me, all me, all. me

Put your lips on everything

Make your bite to fill your teeth up

Paint your face, a masterpiece

I could make you Mona Lisa…”

Wow, Ella Collier has a lot to say! The smoking hot and talented GRANT KNOCHE enters the mix during the second verse. He brings striking low-to-mid register vocals in the second verse and plenty of swagger. Also, he slips in a timely f-bomb: “Pushing out the blood, tripping on the bed, too / Fuckin’ up the knees while you sleep for me.”  What better response to that than f-f-fuck yes! From there, Ella and GRANT duet in the pre-chorus and chorus.  Ella takes the reins on the bridge and most of the final chorus, with contributions from KNOCHE.  All told, “ALL ME” is an enjoyable, fun, and well-rounded pop joint.  Strong vocals from both parties, tuneful melodies, catchy lyrics, and solid production.  A summer song? Methinks!
