Elijah Soltan, Air Max [Photo Credit: Elijah Soltan]California DJ/producer Elijah Soltan continues to propel a paradigm shift in the EDM game with his first brand-new new single of 2019, “Air Max.”

If you haven’t already heard, Camarillo, California DJ/producer Elijah Soltan is putting his own imprint on the EDM game.  His fine, first official EP, 2018’s Spin Wrld sought to “redefine EDM in a hip-hop dominate industry” – #paradigm shifted. Back post-EP, Soltan brings more fire to the EDM world, continuing to ascend to the next level with his brand-spanking-new single, “Air Max.” The Musical Hype is honored to premiere “Air Max.”

“Air Max” commences abruptly with a poppin’, sleek, hella smooth groove.  It’s impossible to keep your foot from tapping instantly to this sickness.  Much like the music from his first official EP, Spin Wrld, Soltan creates quite a vibe.  There is no shortage of ear candy throughout the “Air Max.” Part of the charming script includes heavily processed vocals, which accentuate those chill and modern vibes.  Beyond the vocals, straight out of the modern urban contemporary/hip-hop realm, Soltan has plenty of other tricks up his sleeves to keep things intriguing over the course of < than three-and-a-half minutes.  “Air Max” may be the perfect example of modern minimalism, but key shifts, hyper-rhythmic drums, and colorful synths keep the ears stimulated – fresh to the nth degree.

Final Thoughts

All in all, once again, the young DJ/producer slays the game. BOOM. Elijah Soltan continues the paradigm shift of EDM with “Air Max.” He continues to integrate hip-hop into the mix, while also playing nice to the EDM base. The result is surefire bop that you won’t be able to stop spinning.
