DONT MAKE THIS WEIRD, HEARTBREAK ON ANTIDEPRESSANTS [📷: dont make this weird]We don wish DONT MAKE THIS WEIRD the heartbreak they experience on “HEARTBREAK ON ANTIDEPRESSANTS,” but we the Welsh musician’s sublime single.

“Heartbreak, heartbreak, heartbreak.” WOO! That sets the tone, doesn’t it 🎙 DONT MAKE THIS WEIRD [SIDE NOTE: this feels like a fitting time to throw in a Damn you, autocorrect considering the apostrophe is intentionally omitted from DONT MAKE THIS WEIRD 🤬]? The Welsh musician, who delivers queer emotional alchemy (their words, by the way), delivers a phenomenal pop single with 🎵 “HEARTBREAK ON ANTIDEPRESSANTS”.  As the title suggests on this three-minute record, the love situation – the matters of the heart – are B-A-D… What’s not B-A-D is the S-O-N-G, which kicks some serious A-$-$ 😉 😜.  Enough spelling! Let’s dive right in!

DONT MAKE THIS WEIRD, HEARTBREAK ON ANTIDEPRESSANTS [📷: dont make this weird]“HEARTBREAK ON ANTIDEPRESSANTS” features slick production work, from the start.  Throughout, there are excellent musical cues and touches. Besides the backdrop, DONT MAKE THIS WEIRD’s voice is awesome – they possess quite a set of pipes 💪. The songwriting might be the biggest selling point of “HEARTBREAK ON ANTIDEPRESSANTS” – not shocking given that colorful title.  There are no shortage of ear-catching lyrics, including the pre-chorus:

“Falling down the rabbit hole and screaming out for Alice

Never thought that I would feel the sting of all your malice

Crying on the dance floor

Making out with strangers

Begging the doctor for more.”

sad emoji balloonsThat’s depression all right.  Love – it makes you feel some type of way and do crazy things.  Notably, the pre-chorus is varied , so, the second pre-chorus features some different lyrics. Of course, the centerpiece is none other than the chorus.  The chorus is big, with a fabulous palette of sounds, those commanding DONT MAKE THIS WEIRD vocals, and a tuneful melody. It plays out a lil somethin’ like dis: “Heartbreak on antidepressants / You love him / Can’t laugh or cry / If you want him / I’ll get on my train / Say goodbye / Bye.” Yah, DONT MAKE THIS WEIRD 😉! A few more notes. By the second verse, the flow of “HEARTBREAK ON ANTIDEPRESSANTS” truly settles in. Beyond verse two, there’s an epic bridge section, further making this a fantastic song. Honestly, 🎵 “HEARTBREAK ON ANTIDEPRESSANTS” is best experienced… by listening of course.  No extensive analysis needed by mwah, just support this talented musician, will ya!
