So, without further ado, in the 81^st edition of Beaming with Pride (2026), we highlight “Tan Inocentes ☆” performed by DANI RIDE.

Beautiful lyrics, DANI RIDE (José Daniel Diaz Sepulveda, they/them/he/him pronouns).  For non-Spanish speakers, those captivating words from the Chilean 🇨🇱 pop singer-songwriter’s “Tan Inocentes ☆” (“So Innocent ☆”) translate as follows: “So innocent / We swore we were eternal / So unaware / There was no ‘forever’ in our love.” Aww! “Tan Inocentes ☆” is the ninth track from RIDE’s 2026 album, DIVA DEL POP ☆ (translates as POP DIVA ☆). Sepulveda and Nicolás Ferrada composed “Tan Inocentes ☆.” Cocó produced it.

“Tan Inocentes ☆” is a vibe from the get-go. It thrives on its electrifying, vibrant production. Colorful, playful synths and rhythmic percussion shine.  The musical underpinnings, specifically the harmonic progression, are great.  DANI RIDE is the star, delivering pure, beautiful tenor vocals. He sings as if he never breaks a sweat.  Matters of the heart are the driving force through this dance-pop/Latin-pop record performed exclusively in Spanish. “Noches sin dormir / Puedo empuñar / La canción más triste [Sleepless nights / I can wield / The saddest song I ever wrote],” he sings in the first verse, and continues, “Que algún día escribí / Porque tú / Ahora estás durmiendo / Piel a piel junto a él / Y no conmigo [Because you / Are sleeping now / Skin to skin beside him / And not with me].” No wonder DANI RIDE is sad! The second verse offers more sadness: “De mi nombre apagándose en ti  / Qué dolor, que sufrir [What does a whisper leave within me — The sound of my name fading away inside you? / What pain, what suffering].” Although DANI isn’t in a happy place, the music sounds bright and implores you to hit the dance floor! The chorus, excerpted earlier, is the crème de la crème.  The outro/post-chorus is intriguing, propelled by a spirited modulation.  Keeping the same energy, DANI RIDE also kicks up his sweet pipes another notch. “Tan inocentes / Por creer que era para siempre / Ay! ¡Qué tonto fui! / …Por creer en ti [So innocent / For believing it was forever / Oh! What a fool I was! / For believing in you].” All told, “Tan Inocentes ☆” is a brilliant LGBTQ+ dance-pop/Latin-pop cut from DANI RIDE.  Devoró y no dejó migajas – He ate and left no crumbs!
