5. Fitz and the Tantrums, Fitz and the Tantrums

Generally, folks didn’t like Fitz and the Tantrums’ latest album. There was one outlier review, courtesy of AllMusic. Otherwise, the numbers weren’t good. Boston Globe essentially suggests the album has a temporary appeal. Pop Matters essentially wants the real Fitz and the Tantrums to “please stand up,” giving up only four stars out of a possible ten. It gets worse from the perspectives of Consequence of Sound (25) and The 405 (2/10).

Us as The Musical Hype didn’t criticize Fitz and the Tantrums quite as pronouncedly as the aforementioned. Still, we gave it three stars, which figures up to be a 60 on Metacritic’s scale.

A multi-instrumentalist, he plays piano, trombone, and organ among numerous other instruments. He's a certified music educator, composer, and a freelance music journalist. Faulkner cites music and writing as two of the most important parts of his life. Notably, he's blessed with a great ear, possessing perfect pitch.
