Confetti, When I Grow Up © ConfettiFollowing awesome debut single “People Suck,” Rising pop band Confetti continues to build a name for themselves on their second single, “When I Grow Up.”

Rising pop band Confetti is back, and that’s “just what the doctor ordered.” If you somehow missed the first offering served up previously by the band, it’s definitely a MUST-HEAR. On “People Suck”, the band cleverly and hilariously tackled first world problems, took a shot at President Donald Trump, and generally entertained with the utmost infectiousness.  As aforementioned, the collective is back, two months later, with more goodness ontheir second single, “When I Grow Up.”

“I got 99 problems, still no bitches.” Ah, the humor, the truth, and most of all, the gloriousness of being tongue-in-cheek. Confetti keeps things ‘short and sweet’ on “When I Grow Up,” which clocks in under three-minutes in duration.  The song title gives away the basic theme of the song – growing up. Essentially, the band touches upon something no one wants to do (“growing up”), at least when they finally reach the ‘adulting’ stage.  Like “People Suck,” this is melodic hip-hop of sorts – pop-rap mixed with traditional vocals.  The approach, the sound, and the vibe are all A-OK.

Final Thoughts

“When I Grow Up,” like “People Suck,” is a gem – it’s a great snapshot of what to expect from Confetti in the future.  Perhaps “When I Grow Up” doesn’t quite have the same magic or bite as their debut, it’s a fantastic follow-up.  It’s biggest offense? Following a juggernaut, really.  Call that what it is – nitpick central.  Anyways, “When I Grow Up” is successful because it’s relatable and fun.  Keep the hits coming!
