Cain Culto, cucuru [📷: Hive Music]Cain Culto delivers a short but sweet and bold single with “cucuru,” where he “don’t put up with the shit they do.”

“Cucurucu, rucurcu cucuru caracaraca.”
Woo! And so begins the infectious, short but sweet Latin single “cucuru” by Cain Culto (Andrew Padilla).  Although born in Florida, the Colombian American singer/violinist was raised in my neck of the woods in the Bluegrass State (Kentucky, baby).  He lives in Los Angeles. He brings the heat on “cucuru” which he wrote alongside Cary Singer.  Culto, Singer, and Nate Young produced this musical goodness.

“Cucuru” starts on fire. What is that fire? Awesome percussion.  The intense Latin-infused rhythms and riffs fuel this bite-sized joint.  Adding to the incredible, vibrant production are sickening piano/keyboard riffs and robust bass.  It’s not only the instruments that catch the ears, though. Cain Culto brings it with his effects-laden vocals.  There are pitched-up vocals.  Later, the vocals are distorted, with Culto singing in his middle-lower register.  Regardless, the performance is intriguing because of the colorful sound. Oh, and his attitude:  “Never been one not to say it / Just to keep peace or to play dumb / Wise with my words I don’t waste them / I’ll be the fool let them make fun.” Woo! He goes on to say, boldly, “I don’t put up with the shit they do, uh.” Word.  The ‘chorus’ is the section to beat:

“Rolling my eyes, oh when they

Keep throwing dirt on my name

Alright, okay, what you say

OK, I’m so insane

Cucurucu, rucurcu cucuru caracaraca

Cucurucu, rucurcu cucuru caracaraca

I’m so insane

Cucurucu, rucurcu cucuru caracaraca

Cucurucu, rucurcu cucuru caracaraca.”

Ooh-wee! Short but utterly sweet, “cucuru” is the definition of a V-I-B-E.  Also, shout-out to Cain Culto for being fearless and, of course, not putting up with sugar, honey, iced tea!
