Ear catching introduction with the flurry of saxophone notes

Incredibly funky that groove gets the head nodding and feet tapping instantly – always a pro!

Branjae serves up a well-rounded vocal performance; She’s fierce and highly effective without ever over-singing or being the least bit overwrought

Great soulful cues throughout where the instrumentation is concerned: prominent bass line, rhythmic guitar riffs, horns, keys; Wright does a fantastic job with the production

In addition to the funk sensibilities, I like the jazz cues as well; there’s overlap between the two

Lovely use of backing vocals (harmonized, layered)

Thoughtful, effective songwriting – can you ever go wrong when socially consciousness is involved thematically?

Short and sweet at just 2:40; sufficient amount of song and high quality

Ultimately, the intro is a nice touch though admittedly, I appreciate it more the second time around with a better grasp of what the artist is serving up (#nitpick)
