Are you ready to beam with P-R-I-D-E? Beaming with Pride highlights songs by LGBTQ musicians and allies, offering background, analysis, and discussion of the decadent bops served up. All genres are welcome, and both classics and new songs are recognized. So, without further ado, in the 59th  edition of Beaming with Pride (2026), we highlight “Baby God” performed by Bentley Robles.

“I’m a baby god.”
Bentley Robles, our favorite yellow-haired, first-generation American pop star, said what he said, PERIODT.  He is locked in and loaded on “Baby God”.  “Baby God,” released as an advance single, appears as the third track from Robles’ captivating debut album, Olympus.  He composed “Baby God”; FLORIO produced it.

He doesn’t stop there in the first verse, adding, “Can you see me changing? / Body’s rearranging / All their words ain’t phasing / Ain’t phasing me.”  Woo! He has a strong point with the latter.  Of course, he drops some innuendo and naughtiness in the pre-chorus – getting me off, overdrive, and turn me on. Yeah, I see you, B.R. 😈!  The chorus, the centerpiece, is a straight-up flex.  The baby god is on ten, like, “Drink it up, prophecy!” Like the first commandment, er, I mean the first verse, the second is like unto it 🤭. Confidence, confidence, confidence, cuz, baby, Benley “won’t be stopped!” In the bridge, he gets Olympic, and I’m not talking about five interlocked circles or competitive sports!  I could go on and on, but you can read and listen to the lyrics for yourself.  Ultimately, Bentley shines on this fun pop joint.  He shows off the beauty of his voice and ample personality – he’s fierce, baby! The melodies are tuneful and quite rhythmic, while the lyrics are intriguing – ear-catching to say the least.  Upping the ante, Robles is supported by vibrant production, anchored by a mean, rhythmic beat.  So, all told, “Baby God” is the sugar, honey, iced tea – another winner from Olympus, a pop album that deserves much more buzz.  Oh, and that music video is meaningful and pitch perfect. #NO ONE IS ILLEGAL ON STOLEN LAND.
