Ava Max, “Dancing’s Done” | Track Review 🎵

Pop artist Ava Max drops the electrifying “Dancing’s Done,” the fourth single from her 2023, sophomore album,  Diamonds & Dancefloors.

“Iwanna give into your dark temptation / I wanna touch you like nobody does, oh.”  Oh, snap 🫰, 🎙 Ava Max! The pop artist does NOT tame things down on 🎵 “Dancing’s Done”, the fourth single from her sophomore album, 💿 Diamonds & Dancefloors. “Dancing’s Done” is a vibe from the onset, beginning with its picturesque sound palette courtesy of 🎛 BURNS and LOSTBOY.  The musical cues set up Max for ample success on this cut, penned alongside those two producers as well as 🎼 ✍ R.I. Pablo and Sean Douglas. The chorus, the centerpiece of this gem, continues, “People like you and me were born to run / So where we going when the dancing’s done?” It is a legit question, right?

Beyond the memorable and melodic chorus, and the superb, slick production work, there is plenty to heart about “Dancing’s Done.”  Max sings proficiently, bring some punch to this dance-pop infused cut.  She is firmly in command from the onset, elevating her game to higher heights on the excerpted chorus.  The verses are short but enticing, followed by a pre-chorus that sets up the electrifying chorus. Clocking in under three minutes in duration, “Dancing’s Done” is of reasonable length, with Max and company successfully delivering the goods.

Final Thoughts 💭 

All told, 🎵 “Dancing’s Done” is an entertaining joint.  Max continues to show why she is an intriguing artists who deserves wider attention. “Dancing’s Done” has all the pieces –  awesome production, stellar vocals, and an infectious chorus.  What more could you ask for, honestly? A vibe, a vibe, a V-I-B-E!
