Adam Lambert, For Your Entertainment [📷: 19 Recordings Ltd.]It is no secret that 🎙 Adam Lambert is a master when it comes to covering songs.  That’s not shade nor an insult – he’s beastly in that capacity! If you need further evidence, check out his brilliant, 2023 covers album, 💿 High Drama. Early in the theatrical artist’s career, he dropped a cover that ultimately became his song: 🎵 “Fever”.  “Fever” appeared as the 10th track on his 2009 debut LP, 💿 For Your Entertainment.  Notably, one of the writers is… wait for it… 🎼 ✍ Lady Gaga. Not only is Gaga the composer, but she also originally recorded it 🤯! Of course, “Fever” came before the Academy/Grammy award winner’s breakthrough and ultimately was given to Lambert.  His version is gay 🌈, glammy, and over the top.  That, folks, is where Adam Lambert is at his best 👏!

“There he goes / My baby walks so slow / Sexual tic-tac-toe,” Lambert – or should I say, Glambert – sings in the suggestive opening verse.  He maintains the sensual vibes, adding, “We’ll never get too far / Just you, me, and the bar / Silly menage a trois, sometimes.” Holy shiitake mushrooms 😈!  The fierceness truly shines in the chorus where the F-E-V-E-R is pronounced for Adam!

“Oh baby, lights on

But your mom’s not home

I’m sick of laying down alone, hey

With this fever, fever, yeah

My one and own

I wanna get you alone

Give you fever, fever, yeah.”

Bitmoji ImageBreaking down this fever, Adam’s fever is lust – horniness.  The fever he’s going to give his crush is, well, a case of S meets E, and then they X 😈.  Risqué but not too risqué, 🎵 “Fever” is one of many bops from the Adam Lambert collection.  For the time (2009), the fact that the pronoun was he as opposed to she was big.  Lambert, who should’ve easily won American Idol (FACTS) garnered controversy because he was – wait for it – GAY 🙄. Puh-lease 😡 😤 🤬! Embrace the “Fever” almost 15 years after it first arrived, folks!
