O

n 3BOPS, we are totally dedicated to keeping things L-I-T-E! Similar to 5ive Songs, there’s a topic and a short blurb, only with THREE songs instead of FIVE.  Yes, it’s a playlist, but it’s a miniature playlist that shouldn’t take much time to consume.  On the 64th edition of 3BOPS, we select three awesome songs that are associated with the number 69.

1. Ariana Grande, “34+35 (Remix)”

Ft. Doja Cat & Megan Thee Stallion

💿 Positions (Deluxe) • 🏷 Republic • 📅 2021

Ariana Grande, Positions (Deluxe) [📷: Republic]“If I put it quite plainly / Just gimme them babies.” Woah, 🎙 Ariana Grande! There’s no denying the sexual vibes of 🎵 “34 + 35 (Remix)” from 💿 Positions (Deluxe).  I mean, do the math folks – 69! Worth noting, the first verse remains intact from the original. Grande makes sure she’s taking care of herself to keep him and maintain lit sex. “Can you stay up all night? / Fuck me ‘til the daylight / Thirty-four, thirty-five,” she sings on the infectious yet ‘totally-not-family-friendly’ chorus.  After setting the over-the-top sexual tone on the first verse, pre-chorus, and chorus, Grande lets her bold guests, 🎙 Doja Cat and 🎙 Megan Thee Stallion get to work.

Doja Cat amplifies sex like a champ, including several titillating lines. “I want that six-nine without Tekashi / And I want your body and I’ll make it obvious,” she asserts, proving to be a mathematical genius.  She doesn’t stop there, including referencing loud, raw sex (“They hear the clappin’, but we not applaudin’ ‘em”) and ‘purring’ (“Come make the cat purr, come make my back hurt, ayy / Makin’ that squirt and rain and shower and spray”).  Megan Thee Stallion isn’t to outdone.  She’s sexed-up to the nth degree, asserting, “I’m up like Starbucks, three pumps, ooh / This pussy good for your health, call it superfood.” Wow!  Also, she throws self-love into the mix: “When I’m by myself, DIY like it’s YouTube.” Hey, if men have referenced ‘one-man shows’ for years, why can’t the ladies?  Grande closes out mentioning how bad she is at math, but a pro at a particular problem:

“Means I wanna ‘69’ with you
No shit
Math class
Never was good.”

2. Teyana Taylor, “69”

💿 The Album • 🏷 Getting Out Our Dreams, Inc. / Def Jam • 📅 2020

Teyana Taylor, The Album [📷: Getting Out Our Dreams / Def Jam]According to 🎙 Teyana Taylor, “Tonight, no need to fight, I can ease your mind, oh I / And I know just what to do to feed your appetite, yours and mine.”  It doesn’t require much thought to decode what the R&B singer references on 🎵 “69,” among the steamiest songs from her 2020 album, 💿 The Album.  At its most basic, “69” is about sex – shocker! Of course, Taylor nor her partner intend to keep things vanilla!

“When I put this cake on your face / I got that shit that you’re cravin’.” Holy SugarHoneyIcedTea!  By the chorus, Taylor asserts, “Got you curling your toes while you’re deep in my throat /… I’ll be the six and you’ll be nine.”  Jesus! This steamy joint doesn’t stop there as later there’s “Sweat drippin’,” the resolve no to “Stop until I cum,” and “Then he beat it like drum, drum, drum.” If you weren’t hot and bothered before partaking of “69” you’ll feel hot and bothered after listening to it.

3. Marsha Ambrosius, “69”

💿 Friends & Lovers • 🏷 RCA • 📅 2014

Marsha Ambrosius, Friends & Lovers [📷: RCA]“Now get a taste of my flavour, I’ll return the favour.” Holy moly! British R&B singer/songwriter 🎙 Marsha Ambrosius doesn’t hold back on 🎵 “69”, a titillating standout from her 2014 album, 💿 Friends & Lovers. Clearly, Marsha and her partner are going to please each other simultaneously… Prior to those highlights from the pre-chorus, Marsha sets the mood, and it’s a sexed-up, NSFW vibe, referencing undressing and Stiletto heels. On the second verse, she gets nasty: “Take your clothes off / Fuck me till you forget, then I blackout, blow my back out.” Da-yum!

On the chorus, she lays out the sex, with some help courtesy of a 🎙 Luke / 🎙 2 Live Crew sample (🎵 “Face Down, Ass Up”). “Sixty-nine / I stay on your mind, you stay on my mind,” she sings, adding, “You know you put it down / Face down, ass up, that’s the way we like to fuck.” For good measure, the bridge is steamy AF: “I might not come at all, but you do.” This lustful gem was produced by 🎛 DaInternz, perfectly capturing excellent S-E-X.
