1. Cardi B & Megan Thee Stallion, “WAP”
“WAP” // Atlantic // 2020
“There’s some whores in this house! / There’s some whores in this house!” The acronymic song “WAP” had everyone’s undivided attention! Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion are known for their fiercely, sexed-up personas, and “WAP” shows them straight-up flexing. Modesty is never the modus operandi on this former no. 1 hit with “whores” being the first word of the song on the intro (the record samples “Whores in This House” by Frank Ski).
Cardi B asserts at the end of the intro, “Wet-ass pussy, make that pullout game weak, woo.” She goes on to speak about the wetness in the chorus, while in the first verse, she asserts, “Hop on top, I wanna ride / I do a Kegel while it’s inside.” As for Megan Thee Stallion, in the second verse, she begins with a bang: “Gobble me, swallow me, drip down the side of me / Quick, jump out ‘fore you let it get inside of me.” It doesn’t stop there as both have additional verses with shocking, highly sexual lyrics. The ‘freaky’ perspective won’t be relatable or win everyone over but give them credit for such a raw joint where the women freely express their sexual desires like the men frequently do.

2. Sexyy Red & Bruno Mars, “Fat Juicy & Wet”
“Fat Juicy & Wet” // Rebel / gamma. / The Smeezingtons / Atlantic // 2025
“Fat, juicy, and wet (Ah-ah) / I don’t even gangbang, pussy so good / Make me throw up a set (Ah-ah), uh / That good kitty-kitty, good kitty-kitty.” Well, meow! Raise your hand if you ever envisioned a Sexyy Red (Janae Wherry) and Bruno Mars collaboration. “Fat Juicy & Wet” finds the raunchy, Gen-Z St. Louis rapper and the Grammy-winning millennial pop/R&B artist working together. Mars, Wherry, Jeremy Reeves, Jonathan Yip, Kameron Glasper, and Ray Romulus penned “Fat Juicy & Wet.” Mars and The Stereotypes produced it. Early on, Bruno shocks us with his overt, sexed-up chorus. We expect no less of Sexyy Red, who gets down and dirty in the first verse, but to hear Mars talk about pussy so freely and often… it ‘hits’ different. “You better arch your back, put your ass into it.” Ooh-wee! Sexyy Red’s sexcapades aren’t shocking:
“Ayy, slob on my clit, suck on my toes
Twenty-four-karat, pussy drip like gold (Ooh)
Throw my legs back, eat my booty from the front (Mm)
Milk mustache on your face when I cum (Yeah).”
It’s filthy, mind you, but on brand for her. She drops a second verse that remains NSFW including “Titties on your forehead,” “Arch your back, put your ass into it,” and “Squirt in your mouth.” Nasty, nasty, nasty. The sound is giving West Coast, hyphy vibes, which is perfect for a sex song. “Fat Juicy & Wet” is something else!

3. Adam Lambert, “WET DREAM”
AFTERS (EP) // More is More LLC // 2024
“Lose my mind, get psychotic / Imagining all the things you like.” Get psychotic? Oh, my! It’s the imagination part that is most fun, however, particularly when it comes to sexual dreams. Hard to come by but possible after a certain age, Adam Lambert references wet dreams in “WET DREAM”, the second track from his 2024 EP, AFTERS. “WET DREAM” was penned by Lambert, Ferras, JHart, Sarah Hudson, and producer, Zhone. The sleekly produced, dance-pop banger thrives off a stellar beat, electrifying synths, and sexy instrumental and vocal vibes.
“WET DREAM” has no shortage of intriguing lyrics. In the second verse, Adam Lambert sings, “Purple Haze, psychedelic / Wake me up and make the dream feel real.” The sexual experiences of wet dreams aren’t real sadly, but, Lambert wants to experience the real deal . He is particularly playful on the song’s refrain with breathy, seductive vocals: “In the zone, here we go-go, silicon / Now you know how a homo take it home.” He’s not ashamed of his sexuality, nor should he be. The refrain occurs once before the chorus and reappears at the end of the record. The chorus is infectious:
“I can’t sleep ‘til we’re down in the deep
All I need is your body heat
I can’t sleep ‘til we’re down in the deep
I dive into your love like a wet dream.”
During the chorus, Adam is commanding, delivering some sickening, high-powered pipes. All told, “WET DREAM” is a sexy dance-pop cut. It’s not over-sexual but whenever you mention wet dream, there’s no way it can’t be sexual, right? Right!

4. Doja Cat, “Wet Vagina”
Scarlet // Kemosabe / RCA // 2023
“I bring the drip with wet vagina.” Whoa, whoa, whoa! Say what?! Only Doja Cat could pull off a song like “Wet Vagina.” “Wet Vagina” is the third track from the Grammy-winning rapper/singer’s fourth studio album, Scarlet. Produced by Kurtis McKenzie, Cadenza, Flip_00, and whereyouathan, it features stellar detuned synths and a banging trap beat. Doja maintains an edge, dropping unapologetic bars and an aggressive approach.
“I been puttin’ twenties in they titties on stage,” she asserts in the first verse, adding in the second, “Pass the popcorn ‘cause I really like rap beef / I got hot songs, that’s why everybody at me.” WORD. She’s cocky and confident with no shortage of , hence the wetness.

5. Marsha Ambrosius, “Wet”
CASABLANCO // Aftermath / Interscope // 2024
“On your loving I be overdosing / You make my heart stop / From cutting it close and / Baby, you were chosen.” Don’t die on us, Marsha Ambrosius! Ambrosius is a pro at delivering sex songs. “Wet”, the seventh track from her 2024 album, CASABLANCO, is no exception. This near-four-and-a-half-minute ballad features a shit-ton of songwriters. Why? Notably, it samples four songs: “In The Rain” by The Dramatics, “Inside My Love” by Minnie Riperton, “Method Man” by Wu-Tang Clan, and “Moody’s Mood for Love (vocal version)” by James Moody featuring Eddie Jefferson. Ambrosius produced “Wet” alongside Dr. Dre, Focus…, and Erik “Blu2th” Griggs. Even with ample cooks in the kitchen, the resulting S-E-X song is epic.
“Ocean flow below my legs / Swim in it, go diving inside…” Holy shit, Marsha! As always, she serves up sexy, smooth vocals. It is easy to buy what she sells. After all, we all enjoy pleasure at some point
. Once the beat enters the mix, it is hard-hitting and soulful, anchoring the naughty lyrics and soulful backdrop. One of the best moments is the full-length chorus, which appears at the end of “Wet”:
“You can see inside me
Will you come inside me?
Do you wanna ride
Inside my love?
You can see inside me
Will you come inside me?
Do you wanna ride
Inside my love?”
Something tells me that come should be spelled differently in this context. Also, ride, huh? When the song is entitled “Wet”, and it comes from a female perspective, we know ‘what it is.’ “Kiss on this and make it dance / Take it, baby, giving you permission with persistence.” We’ll leave it at that!

6. Zheani, “BRING WET C**T”
The Spiritual Meat Grinder // Zheani / Access // 2023
“I squirt for pictures Nikon / I lost all grace oh my god / Goddess, female Adonis.” Word, Zheani! She does not censor or tame anything on “BRING WET CUNT”, the second track from her 2023 mixtape, The Spiritual Meat Grinder. Anytime that C-U-Next-Tuesday comes into play, boldness and unapologeticness are in full fruition. As the excerpted lyrics suggest, Zheani is serving cunt without reservations. “The way this cunt taste is famous / Don’t get me started ‘bout fragrance,” she asserts in the first verse, concluding, “I’m giving all you can eat / I’m giving them what they want.” Gah-day-um!
And what they want is wet cunt. In the chorus, she confidently sings, “Bring, bring, bring, wet, bring / Bring we cunt to the dance floor.” The dance floor is lit in Zheani’s hands. She penned “BRING WET CUNT” alongside producer Solsa who provides a fierce backdrop for her to sing over. In the second verse, Zheani keeps it NSFW. “I’m obscene / Body is making a scene / They wanna bounce so let those girls go free.” Those girls, of course, are her breasts. But, again, the focus is her… you know… “Pussy is Dior, and my sweat Prada.” Her most controversial moment occurs at the end of the second verse, where she sings, “Mother Mary, cunt’s my son.” Yikes! “BRING WET CUNT” is something else. That is an overstatement. The shock value is full force on this electronic pop cut.

7. Claud, “Wet”
Supermodels // Saddest Factory // 2023
“Oh, oh, feeling like your boyfriend / I know you would never date him / Besides, I never thought I wanted you.” And with those intriguing lyrics begins “Wet” by nonbinary musician Claud (Claud Mintz, they/them). “Wet” is the fifth track from their 2023 sophomore album, Supermodels. Mintz wrote “Wet” with producers Zachary Seman and Roger Kleinman. This watery tune has ample pros. It is groovy, features honest songwriting, and a solid vocal performance by Claude. The verses yield plenty of bright spots, especially the second: “Come in close enough to see your / Breath is fogging up the mirror / I swear that was just to hear you / Promise it’s sincere.” Word. The section to beat is the memorable, tuneful chorus, in all of its glory:
“That’s not an apology
But I’ll take what I can get
Dip your feet but not too wet
I swear this isn’t like me
But you’re standing on the edge
Say you’ll never ump, but I know you want it.”
Woo! The bridge deserves a shout-out too, providing welcome contrast. Claud asserts, “Knowing me, I’ll do what you say /… And knowing you, you’ll never hesitate.” Hmm, to reiterate a key line from the chorus, “Dip your feet, but not too wet!”

8. Sofi Tukker, “Wet Tennis”
WET TENNIS // SOFI TUKKER, LLC // 2022
“Come play with me / It’s about to get freaky / Bring your hips to life.” Oh, snap! Hmm, “Wet Tennis” must be different from plain old tennis, Sofi Tukker! The electronic, “Fuck They” pop duo (Sophie Hawley-Weld and Tucker Halpern) spice up the sport with sexual innuendo and double entendre. Sofi Tukker composed “Wet Tennis” alongside producer John Hume. Hume produced with Bynon and Andres Levin.
It is not only the lyrics that make “Wet Tennis” intriguing. The music ‘kicks ass and takes names.’ The instrumentation includes a trumpet (Luis Fernándo Chávez) and an organ (Daniel Flores), which adds a mean punch. Furthermore, the percussive groove (Gilmar Gomez) fuels the funky fire. Sophie sets the tone, drawing first blood in the first verse (“Honestly, if somebody knew everything that I know / I think that everybody would be coming to my château”). Then, she unveils the pre-chorus, excerpted at the top. Her and Tucker (parenthesized) collaborate in the infectious chorus:
“So, what are you waiting for?
(It’s your serve)
Won’t you come on over?
(The ball’s in your court)
If it’s one on one, if it’s two on two
I wanna play wet tennis all night with you.”
Has tennis ever sounded more compelling? Memorably, Sophie asks Tucker “What’s the score” in the second verse, to which he memorably responds, “It’s love, love.” Of course, it is . Sofi Tukker delivers an epic bop with “Wet Tennis”.

9. CHAMELEO, “wet dreams”
ALTA TENSǍO // CHAMELEO // 2023
Na ponte, CHAMELEO canta: “Ei gatinho, sonhei com você essa noite / Eu não lembra exatamente o que era / Mas eu lembro que era molhado”. In English, the statement in Portuguese reads as follows: In the bridge, CHAMELEO sings, “Hey baby, I dreamt about you last night / I don’t remember exactly what it was / But I remember it was wet.” Wet as in a wet dream, CHAMELEO? CHAMELEO, for context, is an indie-pop musician from Brazil. The lyrics hail from his song, “wet dreams”, the ninth track from his 2023 album, ALTA TENSǍO. “Wet dreams” was composed by CHAMELEO, Bibi, and Jenni Mosello. Lucas Vaz and Zur Parsiaty produced it. The backdrop is colorful and ear-catching. CHAMELEO’s vocals are ear-catching too. He sings expressively as he depicts sweet fantasies.
“Você entra na minha cama toda noite, nos meus sonhos,” CHAMELEO sings in the first verse, adding, Quanto mais ‘cê me ignora, mais eu fico fantasiando.” In English, the lyrics translate as, “You come into my bed every night, into my dreams” and, “The more you ignore me, the more I fantasize.” Ooh-la-la. That is the spirit of a wet dream, isn’t it? Other highlights include (translated in English), “My desire, my need / Wet dreaming in an empty bed” (verse two) and, “You come home, and we kiss / You put me on the table so you can control me / I start at the neck, go down, and stay there for half an hour” (pre-chorus). Oh, snap! In the chorus, the tongue is key: “Ah-ah, ah-ah / I lick everything / La-ah, la-ah / I lick you.” All told, CHAMELEO sufficiently stimulates in “wet dreams”. The music is sweet, and the theme – sexy AF!

10. RiFF Raff, “Wetter Than Tsunami”
Neon Icon // Mad Decent // 2014
“Ice on my hands should have won a damn Grammy!” Last time I checked RiFF Raff, being ‘iced out’ doesn’t qualify you to win a Grammy. In “Wetter Than Tsunami” from his 2014 album, Neon Icon, the rapper references his gifts as a rapper (he’s the ice), stating those gifts should have already been recognized. Throughout this wet-ass song, RiFF Raff spits ample… bullshit. “Met this bitch at the mall, ass like two volleyballs,” he raps in the first verse, continuing, “Supersize the chain, like it was McDonald’s.” So, he lusts after a hottie with a mean booty and enjoys the biggest, gaudiest bling-bling. That shit is wet! Continuing to brag about his drippy bling, he spits in the second verse, “Hyper color chain with the Similac flow / Rocking all this snow, might freeze a rainbow.” That man is iced out, and his flow is like baby’s formula… “Wetter Than Tsunami” is a wet song that is best taken when a grain of salt.

11. Midnight Star, “Wet My Whistle”
No Parking on the Dance Floor // Unidisc Music, Inc. // 1983
“Wet my whistle / Wet my whistle / Wet my whistle.” Whistle sufficiently wetted. In 1976, in
Frankfort, Kentucky, at HBCU Kentucky State University, the R&B collective Midnight Star was formed! The band would impact both the pop and R&B charts, further enriching R&B’s illustrious history. The song at hand, “Wet My Whistle”, appears as the fifth track from their 1983 album, No Parking on the Dance Floor. Notably, “Whistle” was written and produced by Reggie Calloway.
“Wet My Whistle” cooks from the get-go. Calloway’s production is well-rounded. The keys and synths are sleek, while the percussive groove is sickening and funky to the nth degree. Midnight Star is locked in with their marvelous, harmonized vocals. The melodies are tuneful, drawing you in. As for the songwriting, the lyrics are relatable, encompassing matters of the heart. “Just like sweet wine, baby / Your love’s intoxicatin’,” Midnight Star sings in the first verse, continuing, “Why’d I have to taste it? Mmm / ‘Cause I’’s much too good to waste it.” Ooh-wee! The second verse is equally enticing: “Love was never on my mind / I thought I’d better take my time / But girl, you drive me crazy.” As awesome as the verses are, the section to beat is the infectious, whistle-wetting chorus:
“I just had to wet my whistle
When I kissed your lips, girl
I couldn’t get enough
I had to wet my whistle
Just a little bit, baby
Was much too much
Wet my whistle.”
Midnight Heat excels on “Wet My Whistle”. No, it didn’t ignite the pop charts on fire (number 61 on the Billboard Hot 100), but this love-oriented joint is sweet, sweet, sweet!

12. Frank Zappa, “Fembot in a Wet T-Shirt”
Joe’s Garage Acts I, II & III // UMG Recordings, Inc. // 1979
“‘Cause the sign outside says it’s ‘Wet T-Shirt Nite’ / And they all crave some pink delight.” Word. Legendary guitarist and composer Frank Zappa (1940 – 1993) was one of a kind. That is an understatement for a musician who exemplified innovative spirit – pushing the envelope with his discography. The unusual song at hand, “Fembot in a Wet T-Shirt”, is the fifth track from Zappa’s 1979 album, the ‘rock opera,’ Joe’s Garage Acts I, II & III. Originally, Joe’s Garage Acts I, II & III was released as two separate albums: Joe’s Garage: Act I and Joe’s Garage: Acts II & III. Interestingly, “Fembot in a Wet T-Shirt” was originally named “Wet T-Shirt Nite” on Joe’s Garage: Act I. Zappa wrote and produced “Fembot,” while Ike Willis performed the lead vocals.
From the jump, “Fembot in a Wet T-Shirt” is ear-catching. How could it not be? There are plenty of jazzy instrumental moments that make the song stand out. A key instrument within the accompaniment is the vibraphone, a common, colorful mallet percussion instrument used in jazz. The sung melodies are rhythmic and quick-paced. This also contributes to the wild, unusual vibe of “Fembot.” As for the lyrics, they are wacky from the get-go. “Well, the girls are excited / Because in a minute, they’re gonna get wet,” Ike sings in the second verse, continuing, “All the boys are delighted / Because all the titties will get ‘em upset.” A wet t-shirt contest is enticing to straight boys… “When the water gets on them / Their ninnies get rigid and look pretty bold,” Ike adds in the third verse. I am speechless . Within the concept of the rock opera, the character Mary, a groupie abandoned by the band, enters a wet t-shirt contest at The Brasserie to make some money… let that sink in. An entire essay could be devoted to “Fembot in a Wet T-Shirt”, a song that features unusual harmonies, instrumental ideas, spoken word, and an unorthodox approach. Because it is so odd, that is a big part of the charm.

13. Prince, “Soft and Wet”
For You // NPG / Legacy Recordings // 1978
“If this is lust, then I must confess I feel it every day / If this is wrong, then I long to be as far from right as I may.” Ooh-wee, Prince! “Soft and Wet” is the third track from For You, Prince’s rare debut LP, released in 1978. “Soft and Wet” barely cracked the pop charts, peaking at number 92 on the Billboard Hot 100. Notably, it only spent four weeks in the charts. The Purple One penned “Soft and Wet” with Chris Moon. Prince produced it.
Despite being a minor hit for Prince, “Soft and Wet” has a lot of positive things going for it. It thrives off its funky keys and synths. The groove is infectious. As always, Prince delivers lovely, high-flying vocals. His falsetto stands out. The melodies are both rhythmic and tuneful. Early on, “Soft and Wet” shows off the potential and talent that Prince would become before breaking through. Lyrically, there are plenty of captivating moments. “Hey, lover, sugar, don’t you see? / There’s so many things that you do to me,” he sings in the first verse. In the second, he asserts, “All I wanna feel is a burning flame / Tell me, tell me, baby, that you feel the same.” Word. In the third and final verse, he sings, “(Hey lover) / You’re just as soft as a lion tamed / You’re just as wet as the evening rain.” As strong as the verses are, the chorus is the centerpiece, highlighting the titular lyrics:
“Soft and wet
You are soft and wet
Your love is soft and wet
Ooh, soft and wet
Ooh, oh.”
Is “Soft and Wet” an underrated Prince song? Yes, though it is fair that the song is not considered the top of his catalog. Still, with that mean falsetto and those funky synths, this early Prince song deserves more love.
