It sets the tone for “Lick or Sum,” a 2023 single by Grammy-nominated, Memphis rapper, GloRilla (Gloria Woods). Juicy J produces alongside Derrick Milano. Notably, “Lick or Sum” samples the famous “Slob on My Knob” by Tear Da Club Up Thugs featuring, you guessed it, Juicy J! Throughout “Lick or Sum,” GloRilla delivers an agile flow with bold, confident, and unapologetic bars. Fittingly, she emulates the flow of the original. Deep-voiced, the timbre of her instrument is perfect for dropping aggressive, highly sexual rhymes. “Lick on my clit, make this pussy cream / Do this motherfucker how you do the Russian Creams,” she spits in the first verse, continuing, “Smokin’ on this pack, you know the pussy fat (Damn) / Lookin’ like he fiendin’, got his nose all in my crack.” Gah-day-um! “If I like it then it’s mine / Flick it make it cry / Say, ‘Aah.’” Oh, my! “LICK IT” is brief, clocking in under two minutes in duration, but it is a must-hear, surefire vibe. The handsome 🥵 😍 ripped, and talented PLVTINUM puts his foot into the fifth and final track from his 2023 EP, HELLBOUND II. “LICK IT” is sleekly produced, incorporating elements of pop, R&B, and EDM. His vocals are playful, including some colorful pitch-shifted moments. When singing in his natural voice, his tenor shines, particularly during harmonized moments. The lyrics are bold and ear-catching. “My bitch look like Shego, she bratty and sorta emo,” he sings in the verse, adding, “Taste like maraschino, she foreign like Pellegrino / I think she might be from Rio or Teo, fuck, I don’t know.” Word! The colorful lyrics don’t stop there. “Fingers together inside a zip tie / She wet and wild just like a slip slide,” he sings in the bridge, adding, “Spoil my dinner I got a sweet tooth / Legs are tangled around me tight as a noose.” Oh, snap, more like holy shit! To reiterate the chorus: “If I like it then it’s mine / Flick it make it cry / Say, ‘Aah.’” “LICK IT” = BOP 💯!

4. Scrim, “lick my nuts”

“Lick my nuts, lick my, lick my nuts, lick my, lick my (I tell ‘em).” Oh, balls 🤭! “Lick my nuts” is the 38^th track on the 2024 album, lonely boy (deluxe edition) by Scrim. Scrim is best known as one-half of the kickass rap duo, $uicideboy$. The title of the song leaves little to the imagination – it’s giving oral sex. Fittingly, “lick my nuts” samples the 1994 Lord Infamous song, also titled, “Lick My Nuts” (imagine that). Budd Dwyer (aka Scrim) produced this two-and-a-half-minute joint.

“Hoes on my nuts wanna licky, licky, lick / If you know me, then you know I give no fuck about a bitch.” Charming, Scrim. Also, in the first verse, he asserts, “Get my dick sucked, mane, these hoes just a nut / Playing with her pussy while she sitting in the front.” Damn! Besides expected sex references, more of which grace the second verse (“Hard to have a convo when her lips on my dick, yeah” ), Scrim also talks about being rough around the edges and achieving his come-up. He was “Raised on the Bank, start young drug dealing,” and, “Crack rock, dope house, shooters with a scope, Grew up where your mama always told you not to go.” Word. 5. Shenseea & Megan Thee Stallion, “Lick”

“Open yuh mouth (Mm-mm-mm-mm) / Put up mi pum-pum (mm-mm-mm-mm) / Make yuh tongue go (mm-mm-mm-mm) / (Ooh) lick, lick, lick.” Whoa, Shenseea! The Jamaican singer is bold AF early on “Lick”. In case you couldn’t decipher the Jamaican Creole/slang, pum-pum is pussy/vagina 😈. “Lick” is the fifth track from her 2022, debut studio album, ALPHA. Featuring minimalist but sleek production work (Murda Beatz, Joseph L’Étranger, BoogzDaBeast, and Tobias Wincorn), “Lick” samples two songs: “Work” by Denise Belfon and “AKA” by Baka Not Nice. It should be noted that Shenseea gets a naughty assist from Grammy-winning rapper, Megan Thee Stallion.

Shenseea ensures she’s the star of the show early on. Following the bold pre-chorus, in the unforgettable chorus, she encourages, sexually, “Put yuh back in it.” In the first verse, she gives him instructions and shares her preferences. “Lick it well fast but not too much,” she sings, adding, “Love big dick but dat nuh enough.” Also, she informs him she’s ready (“This break’, lunch, and dinner time, my legs are open wide”). Oh, snap! Her vocal performance is unique and filled with attitude and lust. In the second verse, Megan Thee Stallion gives us fast, unapologetic, bold bars – the expectation. “I’m thick, and your face where I wanna sit / The nigga better hope he’s still breathin’ after this.” Woo! She concludes her verse with a bang too: “Pink pussy, pink lips, pink tips (tips) / Slide down on his ski trip (ski trips) / Juicy booty, need the jumpsuit (yeah) / If he ate it quick then call me fast food, ah.” Shenseea also throws in a bridge where she asserts, “Boy when your mouth full, don’t talk.” Good manners, right? “Lick” is a stellar NSFW bop from Shenseea and Megan Thee Stallion. 6. NLE Choppa, “Lick Me Baby”

Me vs. Me // NLE Choppa Entertainment Inc. / Warner // 2022

“Climb on this dick, know it’s a long journey, but it’s yo’ throne.” Oh, snap, NLE Choppa (Bryson Potts)! He’s packing! The Memphis, Tennessee rapper is not shy when it comes to sex (see “SLUT ME OUT” and “SLUT ME OUT 2”). On his 2022 album, Me vs. Me, he aggressively encouraged her to “Lick Me Baby”. The 16^th and penultimate track was produced by Johnny Goldstein. Potts is backed by a dramatic, minor key backdrop, anchored by a banging, ill beat.

“I want you to lick me, baby (Want you to lick me, baby, brrt)

This dick make you crazy (Make you crazy, brrt)

And don’t you tempt me, baby (Tempt me, baby, brrt)

‘Cause this Glock ain’t got safety (Glock ain’t got safety, brrt).”

The chorus sums up NLE Choppa’s desires and thinking with his penis. The horny rhymes run rampant on “Lick Me Baby.” The first verse alone has no shortage of inches – I mean, sexed-up lyrics! “Lick me, fuck me, touch me, suck me, slut me (Slut me),” he spits, adding, that he’s “Addicted to pussy, I am a druggie (I am a druggie) / Dark skin, sweet on the inside, my nutty buddy (Mwah).” He also implores her to “Fuck me slow, ride me on a ten-speed like we on the road / I’m ‘bout to blow, she let me paint her face like Picasso.” At least the sex is artistic. The second verse is also dirty. He memorably spells: “L-I-C-K M-E B-A-B-Y / F-U-C-K M-E L-A-D-Y.” What a breakdown, Mr. Potts! And, for good measure (and he measures more than adequately, per his earlier rhymes), “Can you lick me? It’s also not the least bit deep. NLE Choppa is bricked up, or at least that’s what he’s giving on this sex-positive (but non-baby-making) joint.

7. Lil Peep & Yunggoth, “lick”

“You’s a lick, you’s a lick.” Word, Lil Peep (RIP) and Yunggoth. “Lick” is the third track from their collaborative single, Friends, released in 2021. The song was produced by Frdm. The backdrop is dark, druggy, and enigmatic, anchored by a mean-sounding beat. The flow sounds faded and at times, a bit unorthodox. Depth is not the modus operandi for either rapper but the vibe is electric. Notably, “Lick” is just a two-and-a-quarter-minute-long song. “Passed out with my bitch in the whip / Catch up lil’ bitch, you ain’t it,” Yunggoth asserts in the first verse, continuing, “You ain’t nothing but a bitch, and you know it.” He adds in the second verse, with Lil Peep ad-libs, “Fuck around and I’ll let you jaw split (Woo) / I don’t give a fuck about that other shit (Fuck it).” If you hadn’t noticed, the use of the word bitch, as well as other profanity, is pronounced. Protect your virgin ears!

A bridge follows the second verse, led by Lil Peep where the late rapper informs us, “I don’t give a fuck about that other shit / I don’t give a fuck about my other bitch…” In the following refrain, Peep spits, “You’s a lick, you’s a bitch (Who?) / Who’s a bitch? You’s a bitch / You a snitch (Woo), I’m a prick / Twenty racks on my wrist.” Noted. In the third and final verse, Peep has “Six Xans in my hand then I put ‘em in my mouth,” disturbing given his death from an overdose. Also, he informs, “And I’m gon’ marry that bitch, and then we get divorced.” Hmm, why marry her in the first place then? Make it make sense… or don’t. Regardless, “Lick” is a banger from Lil Peep and Yunggoth.

8. 2 Chainz, “Momma I Hit A Lick” (Ft. Kendrick Lamar)

“Fall off in this bitch, I ball off in this bitch / My commas hit the floor, you call off in this bitch.” “Momma I Hit A Lick” is one of the best records from Rap or Go to the League, the fifth studio album by Grammy-nominated rapper, 2 Chainz. “Momma” features the signature, quirky production of Pharrell Williams. It also features a colorful guest contribution from Kendrick Lamar. Kendrick Lamar is the first voice heard, dropping the intro and collaborating in the chorus with 2 Chainz:

“Chilly, chilly, chilly, chilly (Yeah, what?)

Wake up, Count Chilly (What?)

I’m up, Count Chilly (Up)

Tell my momma I hit a lick

Tell my momma I hit a lick (Lick)

Huh, momma, I hit a lick

Momma, I hit a lick.”

2 Chainz performs the first verse, with his typical, entertaining approach. Some highlights include “Money taller than a giraffe (Tall),” “Fox on me like Vivica,” and “They was like, ‘Man, he fresh’ / I was like, ‘Go, DJ’ (Go).” His pop cultural references are interesting, including Vivica A. Fox, Mannie Fresh, and Lil Wayne. Kendrick Lamar adds more pop cultural gems in the second verse referencing the Fab Five and Desperate Housewives (“I leveled up past Fab Five / Your favorite rapper Desperate Housewives / Playin’ with me get you chastised”). Beyond that, as expected, he kicks ass and takes name with his beastly flow and clever lyricism. “Momma I Hit A Lick” is the sugar honey iced tea.

9. Khia, “My Neck, My Back (Lick It)”

“All you ladies pop your pussy like this / Shake your body: don’t stop, don’t miss.” Yep, that’s how “My Neck, My Back” commences.  Geeze Louise! Thanks to this filthy record, Khia is a one-hit-wonder whom we’ll never forget. The hook is simple, direct, and utterly shocking: “My neck, my back / Lick my pussy and my crack.” Gah-day-um! In the verses, she takes the time to educate her man on how she likes to be pleasured.  She doesn’t refrain or go off-topic.

“First you gotta put your neck into it

Don’t stop, just do it

10. Denise LaSalle, “Lick It Before You Stick It”

This Real Woman // ORDENA // 2000

“You’re making her feel good / But you can make her feel better / If you treat your lady like a stamp on a letter.” A stamp on a letter, eh, Denise LaSalle. The advice the late R&B, soul, and blues singers gave was “Lick it / Before you stick it”. Oh, boy! Is LaSalle referencing what I think she’s referencing? Yes, she’s talking about cunnilingus (safe, educational, non-pornographic link). The ‘it’ referenced in her bold and unapologetic song, “Lick It Before You Stick It” (This Real Woman) is her vagina. That means what is potentially being ‘stuck’ after the licking is his penis. Wow…

Denise LaSalle keeps it a buck on “Lick It Before You Stick It.” It’s risqué but music has become far more graphic since this eyebrow-raising joint. But, since we’re on the lyrics, they are a treat:

Ooh-wee! The chorus is the section to beat – where the infectious licking before sticking happens 😈. It’s not all sexed-up lyrics though. The musical accompaniment is jubilant with an organ, a robust bass line, an awesome rhythm guitar, and biting horns. LaSalle sounds fantastic – nuanced and dynamic in her vocal performance. Is LaSalle’s vice sound on “Lick It Before You Stick It”? Perhaps, but more sound, for our intents and purposes, is the raunchy but captivating song itself.

11. Marvin Sease, “Candy Licker” 

Marvin Sease // The Island Def Jam Music Group // 1987

“Let me lick you up, let me lick you down / Turn baby and let me lick you all around.” Damn! the late Marvin Sease (1946 – 2011) was incredibly risqué and unapologetic, particularly for his time.  He never achieved widespread commercial success, but his music is compelling and memorable, nonetheless.  Honestly, when you can incorporate oral sex – cunnilingus – into a record, you’re ‘doing’ something.
