11 Intriguing Songs Filled with Ecstasy (2026) [📷: Brent Faulkner / The Musical Hype; Canva AI; Gordon Johnson from Pixabay]11 Intriguing Songs Filled with Ecstasy features songs by Barry White, Beartooth, Ciara, Fabich, and The Irrepressibles.

“Gotta show you what’s inside / ‘Cause it’s eating me alive,”
Caleb Shomo of Beartooth sings, and continues, “So I let the words come out of me / Pure ecstasy.” In another ecstasy-filled moment, Ciara sings, “‘Cause you’re like a hit of ecstasy / I can feel you all inside.” Holy shiitake mushrooms! Double entendre is a work of beauty! Looking back to the 1970s, the late, great Barry White once sang, “In ecstasy, when you’re layin’ down next to me.” Ecstasy is the star of the show on 11 Intriguing Songs Filled with Ecstasy. Every song on this playlist features the word, defined by Merriam-Webster as a state of overwhelming emotion or a synthetic amphetamine analog C11H15NO2 used illicitly for its mood-enhancing and hallucinogenic properties, in its title. 11 Intriguing Songs Filled with Ecstasy features songs by Barry White, Beartooth, Ciara, Fabich, and The Irrepressibles. So, without further ado, let’s take a mean hit of these ecstasy-filled bops, shall we?!

1. Beartooth, “Pure Ecstasy”

“Sick and disgusting, this aggressive disease / Never discussing what a word of it means.”
Damn, those are dark, unsettling lyrics, Caleb Shomo.  The voice and face of Beartooth, who came out as gay in 2026, knew exactly what he was doing and going for on “Pure Ecstasy”. “Pure Ecstasy” is the opener from the rock band’s sixth studio album of the same name, released in August 2026.  This gem, “Begging the reaper, ‘Will you set me free?’” was written by Shomo, Jordan Fish, and Misha “Bulb” Mansoor.  Shomo and Fish produced it.

Initially, Caleb Shomo performs in a breathy, but eerie undertone.  It doesn’t last, however. Once he screams for the first time, “Pure Ecstasy” grows louder and more intense. Shomo’s energy is matched by the badass band, which brings it with the driving, distorted guitars, robust bass holding down the low end, and pummeling drums that hit you right in the chest. Even with Shomo’s boisterous, gritty, and loud vocals, “Pure Ecstasy” has plenty of melody. In the first verse, Caleb asserts he’s “Waking the demon I was destined to be.” Damn! In the second, he sings, “Reckoning wrecking everything I adore / Pressure is building, I can’t take any more.” Woo! In the refrain, he drops one of my favorite lyrics: “I’m not the battle, I’m the fucking war.” Fittingly, the response should be a big, ole fuck yeah! The crowning achievement, however, is the chorus.  The lyrics are striking, the vocals are authentic and passionate to the nth degree, while the music is dynamic.

“Should I sacrifice my life?

Face the truth or live this lie?

Let the words come out of me

Pure ecstasy

Gotta show you what’s inside

‘Cause it’s eating me alive

So I let the words come out of me

Pure ecstasy.”

Ooh-wee! All told, Caleb Shomo and Beartooth dropped a sick rock banger with “Pure Ecstasy”. Names taken and ass kicked!

2. Ciara, “Ecstasy”

CiCi » Beauty Marks Entertainment » 2025

“‘Cause you’re like a hit of ecstasy / I can feel you all inside.”
Ooh-la-la! The innuendo is ripe on “Ecstasy”. “And baby, I’m on one tonight / Ready, set, let’s go.” Damn! Grammy-winning R&B singer/songwriter Ciara entices us with a sleek, sensual contemporary R&B joint from her 2025 album, CiCi. She co-wrote “Ecstasy” alongside Courtlin Jabrae and Theron ThomasLeather Jackettt and Tommy Brown (TBHITS) produced it. The sound is sleek. This is modern R&B.

With a sickening musical backdrop supporting her, Ciara sounds sickening, too. Her vocals are smooth and sensual. She never gets too high, bringing a cool energy to the track. As the chorus, excerpted above, expressed, Ci likens her man to “a hit of ecstasy.”  Of course, when he’s ‘inside,’ he brings her to ecstasy. The melodies are tuneful throughout, with plenty of rhythmic moments. Truly “on one,” in the first verse, she asserts, “I’m a rum and lemon dealer / ‘Cause I know what gets you out them clothes.” In the second verse, she gets right to his pants: “I’m tryna see whats up with that banana / That’s why my mind keep goin’, goin’.” In the pre-chorus,  she claims “I been tryna hide that I want you so badly.” Hmm, it doesn’t feel that way Ci! By the bridge, which is related to the verses but distinguishes itself, she keeps things steamy: “Dinner on my body (Yup) / Hotter than hibachi (Okay) / Baby, come and try me / Ready, set, go / I got punani, na-nani, na-nani.” “Ecstasy” is a song about female desire. Ciara keeps it steamy, sexy, and sex-positive without crossing the line… too much 😉.

3. Barry White, “It’s Ecstasy When You Lay Down Next To Me”

Barry White Sings for Someone » UMG Recordings, Inc. » 1977

“I did not know you had me hypnotized / There’s a movement of your body dancin’ in my eyes?”
Oh, snap! Deep-voiced soul singer Barry White had no shortage of hits during an illustrious career. The lushly produced, sexy gem, “It’s Ecstasy When You Lay Down Next To Me”, from his 1977 album, Barry White Sings for Someone You Love, is no exception. “It’s Ecstasy When You Lay Down Next To Me” spent 22 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 and peaked at number four. “Ecstasy” was written by Ekundayo Paris and Nelson Pigford.

With “Ecstasy,” the listener gets the best of both worlds, in essence.  Clearly, the modus operandi is sex – good, old-school baby-making music! Not only does that sick groove incite body movements, but the once-in-a-lifetime vocals and suggestive lyrics serve as an utterly sublime soundtrack to sex.  “I know I had to hold you and make you mine,” White sings in the pre-chorus, continuing, “Don’t want to control you, just want to have a good time.” Yeah, doesn’t require much thought to brainstorm ways couples “have a good time.” Of course, the centerpiece is the chorus, which features those sensual, titular lyrics (“In ecstasy, when you’re layin’ down next to me”). The lyrics, and those sensual pipes of Barry White speak for themselves on “It’s Ecstasy When You Lay Down Next To Me”.  What a funky disco/soul classic! Additionally, you can’t shortchange “Ecstasy” with its magnificent orchestration (John Roberts), executed to perfection by The Love Unlimited Orchestra.

4. SUICIDAL-IDOL, “ecstacy”

“ecstacy” » SUICIDAL-IDOL / Kurate Music Ltd / AVR. » 2022

SUICIDAL-IDOL, ecstacy [📷: SUICIDAL-IDOL / Kurate Music Ltd / AVR.]

“Just you and me to infinity / I can’t fucking breathe, too much ecstasy.”
Noted, SUICIDAL-IDOL (she/they). Whoa, that’s a bold name to say the least. Alupe Tolentino also brings a bold, unapologetic approach to music.  Interestingly, “ecstacy”, released in 2022, didn’t get a music video until July of 2025… Go figure! SUICIDAL-IDOL composed the one-and-a-half-minute song, while Buhguul produced it. And, addressing the elephant in the room, yes, it reference the high of love to the infamous synthetic drug.

It should come as no surprise, but there are plenty of f-bombs to be found. Two appear in the chorus, excerpted earlier.  Two more show up and show out in the first verse, where SUCIDAL-IDOL is transparent about their desire. “Lights out, you don’t tap out / You’re so crazy, manipulate me,” they sing, and continue, “Fucking chase me, fucking break me / You’re, my everything, please just rape me.” Oh 👀… that went left… In the second verse, perfection is exemplified in their eyes: “Never seen another girl this perfect /… You’re so pretty, you’re so popular.”  The ecstasy is legit! SUICIDAL-IDOL brings attitude and energy to this hyperpop/ dance/ electronic cut.  The vocals are drenched in effects, unsurprisingly, while the accompaniment is ‘in your face’; it’s loud and vibrant. “Ecstacy” is one of a kind – one of one!

5. The Irrepressibles, “Ecstacy Homosexuality”

Yo Homo (Deluxe) » Of Naked Design » 2025

“You and the urge to be close to him / His rough skin passion within,”
Jamie McDermott sings, and adds, “Homosexuality, homosexuality / Homosexual is what we are!” The British musician and his project, The Irrepressibles, leave no doubt regarding sexual preference on “Ecstacy Homosexuality”. There is no shying away from being true to self and “what we are,” which is proudly, homosexual. “Ecstacy Homosexuality” is the second track on The Irrepressibles’ 2025 album, Yo Homo.  McDermott affirmed queerness on the stunning “What I Am! Queer” which appears further down the track list.

Although the tempo is quite slow, “Ecstacy Homosexuality” remains engaging throughout its six-minute duration.  Notably, the accompanying music video is shorter. “I can see his vulnerability as he lets go of himself and sets free!” McDermott proclaims, and adds, “I put my breath into him, and he puts his into mine / He’s leading me up to a feeling that’s so sublime.” That feeling, of course, is liberation as a homosexual!  The emphasis on he and he, him and him, and his and his is pronounced, without the least bit of homophobia, judgment, or shame.  “It’s what we are!” he sings, and continues, “Everything turns quiet and we’re free / I’m in you, you’re in me / Time stands still around us, we’re free.” “Ecstacy Homosexuality” is the ultimate queer affirmation, executed with expressive, intimate, and indulgent-sounding vocals, meaningful lyrics, gorgeous melodies, and distinct musical accompaniment incorporating various instruments and sounds, including guitar, strings, and dramatic pipe organ.  The ecstasy is real!

6. Public Library Commute, “Ecstasy”

Public Library Commute, Ecstasy [📷: Fast Friends]

“You and me / Well, it’s always on my mind / Ecstasy, when you call me up tonight.”
Alternative/indie-pop singer, songwriter, and producer Public Library Commute (Conrad Hsiang) recorded a brief but beautiful song chock-full of ecstasy! “Ecstasy” shines thanks to its simplicity and subtlety. The musical accompaniment is delightful, composed of guitar, colorful keys, and a strong groove.  Hsiang delivers radiant, easygoing vocals.  His voice sounds as if it’s floating, which feels perfect to convey the feeling of ecstasy.  The chorus, which occurs at the beginning and the end, is the centerpiece, excerpted above.  Hsiang continues, singing, “Maybe this time / We’ll be alright.” Aww, let’s speak it into existence, Conrad! There is also one verse that also allures: “Gotta be somebody new / But I don’t want to / I’ve been lost in feeling you…” Noted.  “Ecstasy” thrives on its breezy, tuneful melodies and simple but memorable lyrics.  In short, it is a pleasant two-minute-and-change listening experience.  This is a surefire vibe.

“Molly, Roxies / Oxycontin (Yeah).”
WOO! That is some substance – more like substances – in the chorus of “Ecstasy”. “Ecstasy” arrives as the third track from So Much Fun, the 2019 studio album by Grammy-nominated rapper Young Thug. Thugga highlights those drugs unapologetically throughout the course of the song.  Of course, he also plays on the other meaning of ecstasy, related to sex: “I can take the stick, and I can lift it up / I can take this bitch and I can lift her up.” The keyword is stick in that context. In the first verse, he mentions “Hundred Percocets, I took like four or five off the rip,” before diving into matters of the D again (“My dick hard, bitch, come get after it”). Charming.  Of course, Young Thug gets an assist from Machine Gun Kelly in the second verse:

“I might go on tour and fuck a daughter and her mother

Pour some drank that’s red like Robitussin, ayy

If I get pulled over, put my coke inside your crack, yeah

We get home, I pop a pill, and I’ll blow out your back, yeah.”

Does anything else need to be said regarding the theme or lyrics? DY Krazy and 12Hunna deserves a shoutout for that nasty-ass beat – WOO!

“I’m in ecstasy, you’re moving me / Holding me, no fantasy.”
Ooh-wee! That’s what Bambie (Bambie Ray Robinson) sings in the chorus of “Ecstasy”, where she is the featured artist. “Ecstasy” was released as a single in 2019. Eventually, it appeared as the 12th/next-to-last track on London-based record producer Fabich’s (Christian Fabich) 2022 album, Vibe Creator.  Fabich, Pastel (Yann Merandi), Jafunk (Lachlan Dalton), and Bambie composed “Ecstasy.” Fabich, Pastel, and JaFunk produced it.

On “Ecstasy,” the production and sound are on fleek.  This is a sophisticated, funky electronic track that incorporates multiple styles.  The crème de la crème is the beat – that groove goes hard! The keys, guitar, bass, and other sounds are decadent, too! Bambie has a terrific backdrop to sing over. In the first verse, she is ready for a good time! After waiting for the weekend, she sings, “I need tonight to take it further / Get up, fly high, time travel for ya.” Word.  In the second, she proclaims, “There’s a pleasure in my brain / In my veins, taking over me / Something sweet and strange / I’m a slave, oh, set the pace.” Ooh-wee! Not only is the music moving her, but so is this person that she sings about.  The motivation is gargantuan! Bambie delivers expressive vocals, bringing the sheer ecstasy to life like a champ! Fabich and company ‘do their big one’ on “Ecstasy”, a fun, crowd-pleasing single with millions of streams.

“You can’t wait for Saturday ‘cause / That’s the night that it all goes down.”

Anyway, is Ninja Sex PartyDanny Sexbang (Dan Avidan, vocals) and Ninja Brian (Brian Wecht, instruments) –  meant to be taken seriously? ABSOLUTELY NOT! As long as that’s the understanding, the song “Three Minutes of Ecstasy” is perfection…well, not quite. “Three Minutes of Ecstasy,” which appears as the 13th track on the comedic duo’s 2011 album, NSFW, was written by Avidan and Wecht.  Wecht also produced it.

The sex leaves more to be desired… but don’t tell Danny Sexbang that! “I know you can’t wait to brag to all of them [her girlfriends] / About how I took your ass to Wangtown,” he sings in the second verse, and continues, “I’ll get my captain’s hat, put on my floaties / And we’ll set sail for sexy seas.” Um… wow… In the chorus, Danny is confident about his bedroom performance.  “Three minutes of ecstasy, any more and this house would burn down,” he asserts in the second chorus, and concludes, “For a hundred and eighty seconds, my sex has blown your mind.” Hmm, I’m calling bullshit about the brief, mind-blowing sex, but hey, we listen, and we don’t judge… that much… Accompanied by a colorful, exuberant, major-key backdrop, with an intriguing harmonic progression, “Three Minutes of Ecstasy” is quite entertaining.  I’ll leave you with one more unforgettable lyric: “If you haven’t finished, well, baby, that’s just fine / You know that I’m here for you, oh shit, look at the time.” D-d-damn!
