As you’d expect from those excerpted lyrics from “Sweat,” the pop star and his girlfriend have sex in mind.  Need more evidence that’s “Sweat” isn’t about the sweat you get after a gym workout? Here, my friends, is the centerpiece, the chorus:

The sex is what draws you in most, but there’s also some musicianship on display. The funky cues from the 80s sound perfectly at home in 2021.  Vocals are Zayn’s calling card, which he nails here, but also exhibits ample personality.

Final Thoughts

Too bad Zayn didn’t release a music video for “Sweat.”  Can you imagine how hot that would be?  The good news is that “Sweat” is hot without the visual to illustrate it.  There’s no “Fucking and fighting” like “PILLOWTALK”, but the latter is covered without being explicitly stated, right?
