Ween? Indecent exposure, really? Anyone who is familiar with Ween understands that the duo must be taken with a grain of salt. That said, there’s no way you can miss a song title like
“Waving My Dick in the Wind”. So, I guess the question is why is
Gene Ween, um, doing this? In the first verse of
The Mollusk standout, he continues, “If all goes right, I’ll be in your arms tonight / But I’m waving my dick in the wind.” O…K…
Basically, it seems like Gene is willing to do any and everything to get her back. He chooses an outlandish, ‘phallic’ approach, but the end is sensible. To be fair, for a while, he leaves his dick alone… sorry, couldn’t resist. In the second verse on this infectious, up-tempo joint, he’s “lost in the sauce once again” while the third verse moves onto “Jimmy Wilson.” Of course, there’s some controversy here. Wilson was an African American robber sentenced to death (ultimately paroled) and ‘jimmy,’ of course, references the D
. Yeah
, a bit outlandish (“You should have seen old Jimmy Wilson dance”). Later, Gene returns to explicitly waving his dick in the wind – you knew it was coming!

So, what’s the big takeaway from
“Waving My Dick in the Wind”? Take it with a grain of salt people – it’s not that deep! It’s fun and harmless… sort of. Just don’t literally do what Gene does in this song
