Ugly God, Hello [Photo Credit: Asylum Worldwide, LLC]Rising rapper Ugly God taps fellow rising rapper Lil Pump for a hella quirky, zany, substance-lacking banger, “Hello.”

“Hello, hello, bitch, I’m rich but I’m still ghetto.” Charming, totally charming. Anyways, rapper Ugly God (known for The Booty Tape from 2017) taps Lil Pump (Lil Pump and Harverd Dropout) for his first single of 2019, “Hello.” The resulting product ends up being both shallow and zany AF. Beginning with the production, it’s definitely the biggest selling point, with its weird synths, whacky piano lines, and of course, the beat.  Quirky, it actually fuels the fire of both rappers, if you can call what they spit ‘fire’ that is.  Following the intro by both, the chorus, which the aforementioned lyric hails from, sets the tone of the record.

“Hello, hello, bitch, I’m rich but I’m still ghetto

Hello, hello, fucked on that bitch, sent her home to the Metro

Hello, wait, hol’ up, Mexican plug named Pedro, servin’ that yayo

Yeah, yeah, he do what I say ‘cause I got him on payroll.”

Again, there’s no substance whatever as Ugly God and Lil Pump both objectify women and take partake of unspecified drugs, thanks to paying their dealer (“the plug”) a salary.  Ugly God goes on to rap the first verse, focused on dripping and sex mostly (“Hello, she ride my dick like Camaro”).  As for Lil Pump, he “Put(s) five hoes in the cab,” while later describing one particular partner as a “Ratchet broke bitch, but she got a fat ass / She coming home with me tonight”).  As for the aforementioned plug named Pedro, well, Pump goes on to assert “Hello, plug serve me up in a sombrero / I paid him pesos.” Ugh, ugh, ugh!

Final Thoughts

Here’s the deal.  Just don’t take “Hello” too seriously period.  That said, does anyone take either Ugly God or Lil Pump seriously anyways? That’s a resounding HELL NO.  For what it is, “Hello” is a quirky, hella zany banger.  If you’re looking for more than temporary dessert, well, you’ll end up disappointed ultimately.
