twenty one pilots, Scaled and Icy [๐Ÿ“ท: Fueled by Ramen]Twenty one pilots return with a hot new single, โ€œShy Away,โ€ which serves as the promo for their sixth album, Scaled and Icy.

The wait is over! ๐Ÿ† Grammy-winning alternative duo ๐ŸŽ™ twenty one pilots are back with their sixth studio album, ๐Ÿ’ฟ Scaled and Icy.  In advance of the LP, their first in nearly three years, ๐ŸŽ™ Tyler Joseph and ๐ŸŽ™ Josh Dun unveil promo single ๐ŸŽต โ€œShy Awayโ€.  Like so many of the bandโ€™s music of the past, thereโ€™s plenty to sink oneโ€™s teeth into on โ€œShy Away.โ€

Twenty one pilots keep things short and sweet on โ€œShy Away.โ€ The record runs just under three minutes in duration โ€“ an optimal length.  As always, the production is quite intriguing โ€“ sleek and well rounded.  Given its rhythmic sound and quick pace, thereโ€™s definitely no way to โ€œShy Awayโ€ from this record.  Tyler Joseph exudes ample personality as he performs, and we wouldnโ€™t have it any other way.  As always, the theme and lyrics truly go a long way in making this a successful record. Here, Joseph encourages ditching the shyness and being unafraid to reach for dreams and ambition โ€“ shedding modest and reaching for the stars.

โ€œDonโ€™t you shy away (Ah-ah-ah)
Manifest a ceiling
When you shy away (Ah-ah-ah)
Searchinโ€™ for that feelinโ€™
Just like an โ€˜I love youโ€™ (Ooh, ooh)
That isnโ€™t words (Ooh, ooh)
Like a song he wrote, thatโ€™s never heard (Ah-ah-ah)
Donโ€™t you...โ€

Final Thoughts ๐Ÿ’ญ

Once more, twenty one pilots have truly tickled our fancy on โ€œShy Away.โ€ Great vocals by Tyler, great production, and thoughtful, positive songwriting make this a surefire winner.  Perhaps โ€œShy Awayโ€ doesnโ€™t supplant the likes of a juggernaut like โ€œStressed Outโ€ but itโ€™s another welcome addition to their awesome โ€“ or should I say lit โ€“ catalog.
