In the 28th edition of Rap BNGRZ
(2023), we break down the banger status of “TOILET WATER,” performed by Trippie Redd & Ski Mask the Slump God
Bring on the braggadocio, drip, sex, and kicka$$ery, WOO! You’ve entered Rap BNGRZ territory! On Rap BNGRZ
(bangers being the proper spelling), the premise is simple. Rap BNGRZ provides background info and commentary on cocky, confident, ferocious hip-hop/rap songs. The bangers can be brand-spanking-new or certified classics. In the 28th edition of Rap BNGRZ
(2023), we break down the banger status of
“TOILET WATER” performed by
Trippie Redd & Ski Mask the Slump God.
“I’m from the jungle, a lion, lil bitch / I been stuntin’ since I was a kitty.” Um, meow,
Trippie Redd. The always colorful, idiosyncratic rapper brings the bathroom, specifically the toilet, into the fold on the banger,
“TOILET WATER” (“Treat ‘em like turds, don’t say a word / These niggas is all shitty
”). “TOILET WATER” appears deep into his 2023 album,
MANSION MUSIK as the 19th track. He’s assisted by
Ski Mask the Slump God on this unapologetic,
Bosley/ Igor Mamet/ Bacon and Popcorn / HNRZHUNTER production.
All those lyrical excerpts hail from the chorus, which features plenty of memorable lyrics. Of course, the most fun part of the shit-fueled experience is when Trippie and Ski Mask spit, “Flush (bust), flush (bust).” The flushing also occurs in the pre-chorus too for good measure! Anyways, Trippie takes the first verse, which is violent with its references to MAC-11s and FN’s, and Redd’s assertion, “Bitch, you know I keep a cutter.” As for Ski Mask the Slump God, he comes through in the second verse with epic lines like “Break him like a Kit-Kat, Chris, how I be tuckin’” and the likes of “You be built like a nose, you be runny / Money flow like constipated tummy.” While
“TOILET WATER” is literally pissy and shitty (sorry, couldn’t resist), this three-minute banger is irresistible.
