Tove Lo, Disco Tits © UniversalSwedish pop star Tove Lo returns with an infectious, sexually-charged gem in “Disco Tits,” the promo single for her third studio album.

Subtlety and Tove Lo don’t belong in the same sentence. The Swedish pop artist can definitely be described as unapologetic.  Honestly, it takes some balls to name your sophomore album Lady Wood.  Tove Lo returns with a new single, and the title is not nearly as cool as “Cool Girl” as from Lady Wood. Ladies and gents, the name of the new single from Ms. unapologetic is called “Disco Tits.” Wow.

Seeing the title of the new single, and being familiar with her artistic reputation, admittedly, it was easy to roll my eyes before listening. That’s unfair, but sometimes pop artists tend to push the envelope so much that something ‘shocking’ becomes ‘annoying’ instead.  While Tove Lo is blunt on “Disco Tits,” it’s actually infectious to say the least. The groove is slick AF, and the vocal performance is chocked-full of confidence and swag.  Among the best moments by Tove Lo is when she ascends into her falsetto.   Naturally, she’s dialed in – this song is pure sex.

Early on, the listener is exposed to the horniness and unrepentant lust of Tove Lo.  The chorus just lays it out there.

“I’m sweatin’ from head to toe / I’m wet through all my clothes / I’m fully charged, nipples are hard / Ready to go.”

It’s trashy, mind you, but she’s being honest.  Her honesty continues on without a hitch, notably on the pre-chorus.

“Live right now, peakin’ on top / So wild now, I’m high as f*ck / Don’t look down / My mind can relax / I know how to dial it back / No this time.”

The script, as aforementioned, is sex on the track.

Final Thoughts

As risqué as it may be, Tove Lo has something going, beyond sex, on “Disco Tits.”  It’s well-produced, well-performed, and irresponsibly infectious.  Listen once, and you’re hooked.  Funny, that’s sort of what she’s singing about here in regards to sex.  Hmm.
