The Kid LAROI, I GUESS IT’S LOVE? | Track Review 🎵

On his short but enjoyable single, “I GUESS IT’S LOVE?”, Grammy-nominated rapper/singer The Kid LAROI believes he’s found true love – the real deal.

“When I look at you, you look at me / We know what it is, no need to speak / I guess it’s love.” Perhaps, 🎙 The Kid LAROI (Charlton Howard), perhaps.  On 🎵 “I GUESS IT’S LOVE?”, matters of the heart serves as the central topic.  Essentially, the title reveals the cards of this brief but enjoyable single pop-rap single.  Him and her are in – wait for it –  LOVE!

“I GUESS IT’S LOVE” is produced by 🎛 FNZ, Neek, and The Kid LAROI.  Notably, the record gets a soulful lift thanks to a sample, courtesy of 🎙 Atlantic Starr (🎵 “Am I Dreaming”). From there, The Kid, who is entering the homestretch as a teen (he turns 20 August 17, 2023), talks about how special the relationship is. Is this the real deal? Time will tell, but clearly, The Kid LAROI believes this is far more than fling.  “And all these other bitches mad ’cause they know you got me,” he asserts in the second verse.  Hmm, perhaps his eloquence can be questioned, but, at the same time, he is still young, and his dedication to this girl is impressive.  After all, “We’re good enough to wait, we don’t gotta rush, fuck it.”

Final Thoughts 💭 

All in all, The Kid LAROI drops another brief but enjoyable single with 🎵 “I GUESS IT’S LOVE?”.  The production is a pro.  Howard raps/sings (somewhere between the two) respectably, too.  Sure, he’s still young, and the seriousness of the love is still debatable – he’s 19, after all – but, his infatuation and growth in this relationship can’t be ignored. The KID… he’s growing up!
