Tems, Me & U [πŸ“·: Tems]Grammy-winning Nigerian musician Tems shines on her first single of 2023, β€œMe & U,” which is the definition of a surefire vibe. Β

β€œThis is my decision, decision,” πŸŽ™ Tems sings in the outro of 🎡 β€œMe & U”, adding, β€œI don’t think you listen, you listen.” Ooh-wee! The talented πŸ† Grammy-winner from Nigeria brings the heat πŸ”₯ on her first single of 2023. Running just over three minutes, β€œMe & U” benefits from its chill sound and vibe from the onset. The warm guitars 🎸are sweet. πŸŽ› GuiltyBeatz does a fine job behind the boards, giving Tems an utterly sublime backdrop. Interestingly, the beat doesn’t enter the mix until after the 30-second mark. Upon entering, it anchors things down, in all its groovy, tropical glory. Also, it’s worth noting that the second verse expands the production. Β It’s never too ornate, just right πŸ‘!

Tems, Me & U [πŸ“·: Tems]

The supporting instrumental is DEFINITELY a big deal. Also, the straightforward, easy to follow form of β€œMe & U” makes it a winner too.Β  Still, the biggest reason why β€œMe & U” thrives is Tems.Β  Her voice is gorgeous.Β  Furthermore, she has tuneful melodies to sing = #WINNING. The verses are simple, but effective. In the second, for example, she sings uncomplicated, yet meaningful lines like, β€œMake me your matter,” β€œMake me your person,” and β€œI don’t need nothing / You are my everything.” The chorus is repetitive but again, highly effective (β€œOnly me and you…”). Β All in all, Tems delivers a fabulous single with β€œMe & U”. This is a single where there is nothing objectionable or offensive in the least – just musical goodness. Tems – get it sis!
