Gunna, SKYBOX | Track Review 🎵

Southern rapper Gunna brings some drip to the track with “SKYBOX,” his first, brand-new single of 2020. To quote 2 Chainz, ‘it’s a vibe.’

Atlanta rapper Lil Baby delivers the goods (for the most part) on My Turn, a trap album with no shortage of bangers.

Although she is retiring, Nicki Minaj delivers a ‘short, but sweet’ trap banger with “Yikes.” She’s not the least bit apologetic.

Lil Baby is true to self, delivering an enjoyable single with “Sum 2 Prove” that doesn’t expand his craft or ascend to the next level.

While he offers nothing particularly innovative on ‘TM104: The Legend of the Snowman,’ Jeezy serves up plenty of bangers that celebrate his career.

Grammy-winning rapper Future continues a career-long flex-fest on single “100 Shooters,” assisted by rappers Meek Mill and Doe Boy.

Despite its brief runtime, ‘ZUU’ gives Carol City, Florida rapper Denzel Curry a strong, well-rounded album with no shortage of hard-hitting bangers.

DJ Snake assembles a star-studded cast of rappers (Sheck Wes, Offset, 21 Savage and Gucci Mane) for a good old-fashioned trap banger, “Enzo.”

“13 Songs That Focus on the Face” features music courtesy of Cécile McLorin Salvant, Die Antwoord, Future, Lady Gaga, and The Weeknd among others.

Following a two-year hiatus between proper ‘solo’ albums, Future returns with the enjoyable, well-rounded ‘Future Hndrxx Presents: The WIZRD.’

Future continues to execute a familiar game-plan on his single, “Crushed Up.” It’s good (enough), but nothing groundbreaking.
