Suman, Crazy Over You | Track Review 🎵

uman is back with her new release ‘Crazy Over You‘. It has been quite some time since her last release but spending time on music during lockdown appears to be paying off with a track which hits the nail on the head.

Hailing from London, Suman has developed over the years into a hip hop heavyweight. Vocally, she sounds incredible and her producer, Ayo Beatz, has added a direction which we do not hear all too often in modern times. Furthermore, ‘Crazy Over You‘ is a hybrid of new sounds, and I relish the arrangement. It is exciting, and the entire track flows energy leaving us feeling empowered.

Starting is a melodic lead line which grips. It drives forward with tenacity, and it meets the beat perfectly. The rhythm is groovy, it will have you tapping your foot instantly, and the dancehall influence gives the track an even bolder flavour. Melodic in its structure, ‘Crazy Over You‘ is the medicine which any hip hop enthusiast has been craving. Suman rises to the occasion impeccably, and her vocal is wholesome with her confidence oozing from the get-go.

The verse is piercing, and Suman sings about her experience with a lover. Essentially, she cannot get enough. So much so, she is utterly crazy over them, and she makes herself clear with her vocals hitting home for anyone who fancies the pants off someone. Although, not hugely originally vocally, the poetry works and it leaves us itching for more.

Overall, it is challenging to fault this new track from Suman. It is a track which pushes us into a new space, and it proves the singer’s ability to mix things up.
