Spider Plant, Mountain | Track Review 🎵

p the mountain, we go with Spider Plant, the British producer and songwriter. As you may have predicted, his newest single is titled ‘Mountain‘, and it is the ascent of the summer. It begins with a striking overture that envelops us in its awe-inspiring texture and then spits us out, leaving us filled with vitality.

Spider Plant is obviously still experimenting with musical styles, and in this track, he implements an essential change that results in a soundscape dripping with fresh charisma. The track has a cool edge to it, but it also adds plenty of nostalgic components to it for good measure. One example of these nostalgic elements is a violin lead with a baroque tone, which is present throughout most of the composition.

A nail-biting drop arrives, and it is daring, providing a new sense of feeling that we did not get from the opening. Also, in the midpart, there is a sound that is almost identical to the sound of a motorcycle’s engine revving away. Even though it may not have been the purpose, it feels as though someone is coming close to us before quickly receding into the distance.

As the track progresses, we hear plenty of new components rising out from the surface, and it has a quality that hooks us repeatedly.
