~ Song Reviews 🎵 ~

Ah, welcome to the page that is dedicated solely to Single & Track reviews. Singles and tracks of various styles are evaluated in this section of The Musical Hype – We don’t discriminate. Track reviews are also available on the home page.

More often than not, the single reviews on the site tend to follow a format that includes an intro paragraph with background information, a body, comprised of 1-2 paragraphs of analysis, and a concluding paragraph that ‘puts a cap’ on things. Each track also receives a star rating, on a scale of 0 – 5 (½ stars are used as well), that is visible at the beginning and ending of the review.

5 out of 5 stars = MASTERPIECE

4.5 out of 5 stars = NEAR MASTERPIECE

4 out of 5 stars = EXCELLENT

3.5 out of 5 stars = VERY GOOD

3 out of 5 stars = AVERAGE / GOOD

2.5 out of 5 stars = BELOW AVERAGE

2 out of 5 stars = MEDIOCRE

1.5 out of 5 stars, 1 out of 5 stars, 0.5 out of 5 stars, 0 out of 5 stars = BAD

Track reviews generally run a minimum of 250 words with many running north of 300 words. So, music enthusiasts everywhere – Musical Hypeians worldwide – get your fix of single & track reviews down below!!!

After more than a decade in the game, Trey Songz continues to sing about the thing that made him famous on “How Dat Sound” – sex.

Lil Pump, ‘Multi Millionaire’ | Track Review

Lil Pump taps Lil Uzi Vert for his new, flex-heavy single, “Multi Millionaire.” Safe to say, ‘transcendence’ isn’t part of the modus operandi in the least.

British pop standout Charli XCX and South African-Australian pop standout Troye Sivan ‘bring the heat’ on their feel-good, reminiscent single, “1999.”

Joji, ‘Can’t Get Over You’ | Track Review

88rising alternative R&B standout Joji keeps things incredibly ‘short and sweet’ on the Clams Casino-produced single, “Can’t Get Over You.”

6ix9ine, ‘STOOPID’ | Track Review

For as “lit” as 6ix9ine proclaims himself to be on “STOOPID,” the single, assisted by Bobby Shmurda, is empty and rather forgettable.
