Please expound, 🎙 Smokie Norful. “I passed the test even when I don’t come in first.” Okay, that is quite possible – not everyone scores the top score!  Please, give us MORE, Pastor Norful! “And sometimes I win when the score says I lose…” Um, Mr. Norful – Pastor –  what exactly are you getting at? I mean, I remember Kansas State beat my Kentucky Wildcats 75 – 69 in the 2023 NCA Tournament, and it didn’t feel like #WINNING 😤 😡 🤬! “‘Cause even in my weakness, I still have You.” Oh, Y-O-U, as in God, as in the all-knowing, merciful, omniscient… 🙌 🙌  🙌  Basically, no matter what the situation is for the pastor/gospel singer on his 2022 single, 🎵 “I Still Have You”, he still has God guiding him through thick and thin.

balancing a barbell on finger“I’m Still You” is a beautiful contemporary gospel ballad.  Basically, this uplifting record says all of the right things.  It paints a picture that even though things don’t always go perfectly – tremendous adversity and even, defeat – God is still there.  This is a testament of faith, something that can be difficult to have, obviously. Still, it is clear that Smokie Norful has it, even when the situation is not optimal.  He encourages others by reminding them of God’s goodness.  “You are the one who puts the light in the sun / And You’re the one who drapes the stars in the sky when the sun is done,” he asserts in the chorus.  He goes on to name God by his many titles, praising him for his awesomeness.  Supported by a gorgeous backdrop of keys and dramatic strings, Smokie Norful definitely provides the listener with music to lift the spirit on 🎵 “I Still Have You”.
