Slipknot, The End, So Far [๐Ÿ“ท: Roadrunner]A damning intro is truly only the beginning of when it comes to the fierce, ๐ŸŽ™ Slipknot track, ๐ŸŽต โ€œThe Chapeltown Ragโ€. The third track from the bandโ€™s 2022 album, ๐Ÿ’ฟ The End, So Far, references both the danger of the media as well as infamous British serial killer, Peter Sutcliffe.  Regarding the sound, โ€œThe Chapeltown Ragโ€ is incredibly aggressive and dark. The drums pummel, while the guitars are distorted, hellish, and twisted.  The vocals courtesy of the one and only ๐ŸŽ™ Corey Taylor, kick @$$ and take names โ€“ understatement. If you have virgin ears, watch out โ€“ there are f-bombs ๐Ÿ’ฃ, like boom ๐Ÿ’ฅ! Despite the infernal nature of this cut, the chorus is melodic โ€“ quite tuneful. Still, โ€œVessels burst, veins release / Just slide into the nearest lieโ€ isnโ€™t the most optimistic lyricsโ€ฆ

Bitmoji ImageIt is the lyrics that โ€˜take the cakeโ€™ on this fierce, unapologetic, hard rocking cut.  โ€œEverything is god online, and itโ€™s evil as it gets / This is not a fuckinโ€™ trick, either follow or repent,โ€ Taylor asserts in the first verse. He has a legitimate point! In the second, Taylor shifts Sutcliffe: โ€œAll the ligatures are getting tight, like a style / Murder another mouth before the trial / Scalpel and then scalp โ€˜em to fucking death / Kills for the other vampires and surrogates / Itโ€™s a ploy for attention and evidence.โ€ Well, they didnโ€™t call him the Yorkshire Ripper for nothing! Another fun moment: โ€œIโ€™m a knife, Iโ€™m a gun, Iโ€™m a slit, Iโ€™m a scar /โ€ฆ You better call the triple 9โ€ฆโ€ ๐ŸŽต โ€œThe Chapeltown Ragโ€, courtesy of Slipknot โ€“ F-I-E-R-C-E as the rock/metal comes ๐Ÿค˜!
