Shirley Caesar, Jesus Is Everywhere | Music Lifts 🎶 🏋

In the 17^th edition of Music Lifts (2023), we’re uplifted by Pastor Shirley Caesar performing, “Jesus Is Everywhere.”

“For HE knows just what to do.” Welcome to Music Lifts 🎶 🏋, a column that seeks to highlight songs that encourage, inspire, and uplift the spirit; songs that exude fortitude, positivity, and resolve, even in the face of adversity.  Featured songs aren’t genre-specific; songs may or may not be faith-based. The goal is for these songs to make you feel better – be LIFTED to new heights!  So, for the 17^th edition of Music Lifts 🎶 🏋 (2023), we highlight 🎵 “Jesus Is Everywhere” as performed by 🎙 Shirley Caesar.

“Jesus is everywhere / Jesus really cares.” Yes, yes, YES 👏! Say that, 🎙 Shirley Caesar! On her 1989 album, 💿 I Remember Mama, Caesar, and her accompanying choir uplift on 🎵 “Jesus Is Everywhere”.  In the encouraging, spirited chorus, the choir continues singing, “No matter what you’re going through / He’ll fix it up for you / For he knows just what to do.” That is a good word right there 🙌!

While the chorus is the centerpiece, the verses are excellent too.  In the first verse, the prudent proclamation is made, “He’ll be right there / Whenever you call / Your dearest friend will never let you fall / When you’re down to your last dime / He’ll step in right on time / And I know he’ll be right there.” Ah, the power of faith, even when things are hairy and seem impossible. Caesar touts the mercifulness of Almighty God and the fact that he’s always right on time! Another highlight occurs in the second verse: “Don’t depend on no one else / You talk to Jesus for yourself / And I know, he’ll answer your prayers.”  Once more, Caesar highlights that faith piece, and having a conversation with God – a relationship if you will.  Ultimately, 🎵 “Jesus Is Everywhere” is epic, speaking to the excellence and omniscience of J-E-S-U-S.  Now that’s a heavenly 😇 Music Lift 🎶 🏋!!!
