Sexyy Red, Free My N***a | Song Review 🎵

The always bold and unapologetic Sexyy Red remains true to self on her single, “Free My N***a,” where she implores the release of her man from prison.

“I’m missin’ my baby right now / Free my motherf🤬ckin’ n🤬gga / Free my dirty out that motherf🤬ckin’ slammer.” Holy 💩! Subtlety is NOT the best attribute of rapper 🎙 Sexyy Red – an understatement 😏.  Part of group of incredibly blunt, raunchy, and unapologetic female rappers, frankly, Sexyy Red doesn’t give a flying f🤬ck.  On 🎵 “Free My N***a”, she makes it clear she wants her boo, and her child’s father freed from prison.  Backed by banging production courtesy of 🎛️ Sool Got Hits, Pitt Tha Kid, and Zone, she pleads her case for his freedom.

“That’s my baby, hell yeah, we in love / First day home, let him shoot up the club,” Sexyy Red asserts in the first verse. Hmm 🤔, doubtful that gets him freed… Furthermore, lyrics like, “Fuck the police, fuck the pigs, they some bastards / Send my nigga flicks, say, ‘My pussy and my ass hurt’ / I need that dick, they need to free my nigga faster” will probably fall on deaf ears.  Amazingly, those bars all appear in verse one 🤯.  Verse two offers more of the same, referring to the cops as pigs, and, of course, expressing her sexual needs: “And I need some dick, free that man quick / All the jail calls got me playin’ with my cl😮t.” Ooh-wee! The good news is, Sexxy’s flow works well over the beat, even if what she’s spitting is, um, incredible rough around the edges and raunchy.  At this point, Sexxy Red is who she is, and a track like 🎵 “Free My N***a” should come as no surprise.
