UK producer Santino once more brings the funk, the groove, and sexy vibes on his infectious single “Boutique Le Freak,” which encourages ‘speaking French.’

It’s not every day that one encounters a song that’s titled “Boobjob” – my eyebrows are still raised.  In the same token, it’s not every day that one gets to experience a truly brilliant musical mind like UK artist and producer Santino.  On “Boobjob,” Santino proved himself as one those awesome ‘do-it-all’ guys handling the songwriting, singing, and production. Man, how respectable is that? In addition to that admiral self-sufficient status, he incorporates the music of old superbly into the present –funk and disco from the 70s and 80s, blended with the sounds of the modern electronic script.  Once again, he brings his ‘A-game’ on “Boutique Le Freak,” released in late October 2018.

 Perhaps, Santino isn’t quite as specific regarding sex on the utterly risqué “Boobjob,” but that doesn’t stop “Boutique Le Freak” from oozing with sex.  Arguably, he’s even slicker this go-round, bringing ‘French’ into the game plan. Yep, the game, the swagger – the “bedroom boom” if you will – is definitely on-point.  The fact that Santino is able to successfully communicate so much personality on “Boutique Le Freak” truly makes him distinct and shows he knows his artistic niche.  The production is incredibly funky and sleek, benefiting from a super crisp and clean sound.  He never overdoes it, allowing for space within the backdrop.

Santino doesn’t only produce over course.  He provides his vocals, including some agile rhymes that show off his charming British accent. There are also some additional vocals that also further accentuate the excellence of “Boutique Le Freak.”  That said, there’s nothing better than the hook, which is particularly infectious.  Santino asserts, “Let’s talk a different language… and talk French / I want to talk French / Let’s speak French / And Boutique Le Freak.”  In other words, he wants to ‘get down.’

Final Thoughts

Two experiences with Santino as of yet, and both have been thrilling.  If you haven’t checked out this UK standout, well, you’re totally missing out.  He’s the total package, further evidenced by the freaky, funky trip that is “Boutique Le Freak.”
