Multilingual rapper Saint Levant drops another vibe with his brief but entertaining single, “5am in Paris.”
Two-and-a-quarter minutes is brief. However, in the hands of the handsome and talented Saint Levant (Marwan Abdelhamid), that short duration is maximized to the fullest! The Palestinian/French/ Algerian/Serbian artist serves up vibes in his single, “5am in Paris”. Abdelhamid penned “5am in Paris” alongside producer Khalil Cherradi who provides the rapper/singer with a lit instrumental. Notably, the backdrop incorporates French music cues as well as a sleek, danceable groove, rhythmic synths, and pads.
The lush, warm instrumental introduction sets the tone. Way to gas up Saint Levant! Did he need to be gassed up? Probably not – he’s always locked in! The first lyrics served up by Abdelhamid are performed in French. It is sweet to the nth degree. Seeming to never be bothered, he keeps things chill throughout. Does Marwan ever break a sweat? Doesn’t seem like it. He follows the verse in French with a bridge in Arabic. His multilingual abilities never grow old – they’re always impressive. English arrives in the tuneful chorus, where Saint Levant states, “It’s been calling my name / But I don’t feel at home / Oh no.” After wowing with his trilingual performance, I love how Abdelhamid allows the instrumental ride out. All in all, “5am in Paris” is another winner from the ultra-gifted, multi-ethnic artist.
