Rofi James, Who Am I To You? | Track Review 🎵

ofi James exude a genuine indie-pop appeal that works perfectly within the context of the industry as it is right now. The band are from Galway in Ireland and they are following in the footsteps of many highly hailed performers from their nation, and they grip with an infectious bite!

The band’s new track ‘Who Am I To You?‘ is spot on, and they emerge from the underground with a sound that is comparable to the AM release by Arctic Monkeys. Nevertheless, even though the guitars have a familiar ring to them and the structure follows a pattern that we are used to hearing from other indie acts, the production here still has a sense of newness to it. It is something that the most successful newcomers bring to the table, and Rofi James is a great example of this.

Also, despite the fact that Rofi James only consists of three members, the band’s music gives the impression that it comes from a much larger ensemble. The gentlemen deserve praise for producing a soundscape with the stadium’s atmosphere, and one could only imagine how great this one would sound at a live show. The lead vocals and guitars do a fantastic job at holding our attention, but the bass and percussion also contribute to the overall effect. There is a lot of confidence here, and it is obvious to see why; they are onto something!
