Prepare to beam with P-R-I-D-E 🏳️‍🌈! Beaming with Pride 🏳️‍🌈 celebrates, embraces, and spotlights songs by LGBTQ musicians or allies.  Here, we provide background and insight into musicians, analyze, plus go gaga over the decadent bops served up.  When songs dictate deeper and more transcendent discussion, we ensure the point is fully articulated.  All styles of music are welcome, whether the songs are classics or brand-new. So, without further ado, in the 87 edition of Beaming with Pride 🏳️‍🌈 (2025), we highlight “CZECH HUNTER” performed by Rick Glam.

“Hey, have you ever heard the expression ‘gay for pay’?”
Yes, Rick Glam (Paulo Silva), I have, but for those who haven’t, there has been plenty of discourse regarding it.  Also, there is at least one colorful Jerry Springer segment (RIP), a Judge Jerry caseMax Lorde versus Elliot Finn (real name Zane Robinson, who is straight) – and again, the porn itself.  Just the intro of “CZECH HUNTER”, the third track from the queer Brazilian musician’s EP, VAMPIRE (EP), is a catalyst for discussion.  So is the song title, named after the controversial gay for pay TV series 😏 😏 😏. Rick Glam produced this gay, or perhaps this faux gay song, with Brenozy.

Rick Glam paints a picture of those cute, but straight Czech boys playing gay. “Straight guys, all of them / Telling lies, yeah, just out of shame.” Hmm, are they not straight? Hmm. Regardless, Glam continues singing in the first verse, “There are no losers, we both win / Money cash, skin to skin / If you let me touch you /… You will have some wet dreams.” Wow. Similarly, in the second verse, it’s the sex that stands out. That sexual encounter is filmed, of course, though Rick ensures the straight man feels comfortable: “Look at me, my camera’s on / Don’t be shy, we’re all alone /… You can taste it, so grab the chance / Hand to hand (Two hands), it’s just bromance.” So, a bromance is what it’s called these days? Rick Glam, CZECH HUNTER [📷: Rick Glam]In the pre-chorus, the emphasis is on the fact that “it’s just sex.” There is pleasure involved, but it’s meaningless and transactional, right? It depends on the guy, honestly. If you’re of the school sex means nothing, it means nothing.  If you’re not, well, every sexual experience is emotional and meaningful. Food for thought.  In the brilliant, repetitive chorus, Rick Glam embodies the “Czech Hunter”… or, is it merely a check hunter? A bold, risqué, and cutting-edge song, “CZECH HUNTER”, is thought-provoking.  It certainly doesn’t silence the discourse surrounding the value of sex, gay for pay, and queer baiting.  Over a sleek, electronic backdrop, Rick Glam slays with his playful, seductive vocals.
