Rich Brian, watch out! © 88rising / EMPIREEven though the newness of his debut album ‘Amen’ hasn’t worn off yet, Rich Brian drops a hot new, ‘short and sweet’ banger, “watch out!”

Instead of “Bad Boy don’t stop,” what about “Rich Brian don’t stop!” Fresh off the release of a great debut album (Amen), Brian returns with a hot new single, “watch out!” The best way to describe this record is a ‘short and sweet’ banger.

“Watch Out” is short and sweet, just crossing two-and-a-half minutes. Rich Brian kicks things off with a count-off (“1, 2, 3, 4”). The syncopated treble synths instantly stand out within the production. The beat is reminiscent of the beat from “Chaos”. The production alone makes this cut a surefire banger. The hook is catchy, with ridiculous, funny lyrics:

“They be salty like sodium

I just do my shit and I’m turning up the volume

F**k a foreign whip, man, the Uber’s what I rode in

Yeah, my shit so flames Elon Musk could prolly sell it, Amen

A, B, C, D, E, time for your ass to leave…”

Brian references a number of things – Febreze, Ed Sheeran (“A Team”) and Amazon.  Beyond the production and pop cultural references, Brian’s bassy vocals are a major selling point.

Final Thoughts

Fresh off of Amen, Rich Brian continues to build a truly compelling case as an artist.  While “watch out!” is short, it packs a respectable punch nonetheless.  Stellar production and great performance overall.
