~ Album Reviews 💿 ~

Album reviews tend to follow a track-by-track format, commencing with an intro paragraph comprised of background information, and concluding paragraph that wraps things up. Also, GEMS 💎 – the best, highly recommended tracks – are selected at the end of each review. It should not come as a surprise to see the analysis run > 1000 words.

Miranda Lambert, Vice | Track Review 🎵

Miranda Lambert returns with ballad “Vice,” clearly a departure from the country artist’s feistier and more ferocious offerings.

Florida Georgia Line, May We All | Track Review 🎵

Florida Georgia Line returns with single, “May We All” featuring country veteran Tim McGraw. Respectable, “May We All” lacks the same magic of “H.O.L.Y.”

ZAPPER & DATGIRL, Bang Bang, Bitches! | Track Review 🎵

ZAPPER and DATGIRL collaborate to create an eccentric, ambitious, politically-charged song and music video, “Bang Bang, B*tches!”

French Montana, No Shopping | Track Review 🎵

French Montana delivers a banger with “No Shopping.” Problem is, He’s too selfless, allowing Drake to take over the spotlight.

Tinashe, Superlove | Track Review 🎵

Up-and-coming contemporary R&B/pop artist Tinashe drops a good record with “Superlove,” though arguably it’s not enough to elevate her superstardom.

Katy Perry, Rise | Track Review 🎵

Katy Perry returns respectably after a three-year hiatus with Olympic single, “Rise,” which doesn’t supplant her best work.

Grouplove, Welcome to Your Life | Track Review 🎵

Grouplove’s latest single may hail from a forthcoming album entitled ‘Big Mess’ but “Welcome to Your Life” is the furthest thing from a mess.

Banks, F**k With Myself | Track Review 🎵

Alternative musician Banks drops a bomb (an f-bomb specifically) with electrifying, explicitly honest single, “F*ck With Myself.”

Britney Spears, Make Me | Track Review 🎵

Britney Spears’ latest single “Make Me” is easily a cut above her previous single, the mediocre “Pretty Girls” featuring Iggy Azalea.

John Newman, Olé | Track Review 🎵

John Newman has some nice ideas happening during “Olé.” That said, the single isn’t nearly as electrifying as “Love Me Again” or “Losing Sleep.”
