Electronic/pop musician Restless Modern, keeps on delivering the goods with his incredibly enjoyable, love-centric single, “Where We Could Go.”

It should go without saying at this point that Restless Modern is awesome. The rising electronic/pop singer, songwriter, and producer continues to ‘keep his eye on the prize’, growing more and more prolific, releasing multiple new singles throughout 2018.  Among his growing musical catalogue is the love-oriented, pop record, “Where We Could Go.”

Timely, just crossing the three-minute mark, “Where We Could Go” has lots of things that bode well in its favor. The record thrives off a superb groove, embracing an urban-infused sound (within the context of electronic/pop of course).  Restless Modern continues to showcases a great ear, thoughtfully choosing his synths, and never over-producing. In addition to his work behind the boards, he delivers smooth vocals, incorporating an earnestness about his tone, while also impressing with nuances and a dash of falsetto.

Beyond great length, production, and high-flying vocals, the songwriting is also notable. The first verse is focused on love: “Let me make your life mean more / I know you’re worth it.” Later, on the second verse, he continues to pour out his heart. The pre-chorus following the verses is best characterized by Restless Modern’s dedication – he’s totally onboard with the love:

“I don’t wanna run away

Come what may,

I will be here tomorrow

Even though I’m so afraid

That you don’t want to stay

I will love you tomorrow, yeah.”

Fittingly, the dedication is at an all-time high on the chorus:

“I could be anyone you want

Give you everything I can touch

Keep your dreams for another month…

You should give this another chance

Hold your breath and you take my hand

Where we could go life had never taught me

Give me just another day.”

On the outro, RM sings, “And you would cry if I had to go / Let me love like I want to / Like I want to.”

Final Thoughts 

Restless Modern continues to get better and better. Like the majority of his work in 2018, “Where We Could Go” is another gem, deserving wider recognition by all means.
